Everything went without a problem.  We had a few bumps on the way catching covid and that almost stopped the service happening but.  Everything worked out in the end

Overall the service provided was very good. The staff were very helpful and understanding. They gave good advice and were there to answer all questions.
The order of service was beautiful.
My only criticism was that I had asked for the last music to be played right the way through before the coffin was taken from the church. This was not done and because of this the minister could not read her final poem for my father.

Really bad service. They put my brother’s name wrong in notice in paper. They kept ringing and calling him by another name. The night before funeral the minister rang and said they insisted I only had one brother, not two and told him a ‘Stephen” didn’t exist. My mam only came to the chapel of rest Friday before funeral and I had to take day off work to view her body as she was about to be buried next morning. But wished I hadn’t, she looked like a monster with black lips and still had a dirty curled up sticking plaster stuck to her neck!! We were informed the Friday before funeral that we owed over a thousand pound to Newcastle Council which had never been mentioned before, she was due to be buried Tuesday morning. They originally sent wrong bill to be paid from my mother’s account for the whole funeral which resulted in my brother having to pay over hundred pounds for flowers out of his own pocket because my mam’s bank account was in probate and would only pay for original funeral bill. My mam paid seven years ago for my dad’s burial and her own with the co op , including charges for non residents of Newcastle. The council now demanding over thousand pound again for her non residence. CO op legal services have now sent a demand. Again we don’t have money as she left no will and it’s in probate. Why was this not settled when funeral was arranged? Either Newcastle Council or co op have either miss sold to my mam at time of my dad’s funeral or we have been charged twice. At the time she was told it was all fully paid for. Seeing co op funeral arranged it all I hold them fully responsible. It’s all been very stressful and upsetting and I will never recommend or use them again. Very shoddy from start to finish
