From my first telephone call the service and personal attention to the family needs and emotional understanding was caring and compassionate. An excellent team of people who are empathetic to others at a difficult time. They also helped to deliver a service appropriate to how the deceased loved their life.

From the initial telephone call to make the request that Barrack Road deal with the late Mr Millar, through the meeting at the funeral home, then the funeral and the follow up calls and correspondence, everyone we have had contact with has been excellent. The service was considerate and caring and everything was explained and followed through. We were able to give Mr Millar the send-off we wanted and felt supported throughout the process.

Sheila passed away 8/7, arranged direct cremation on line 14/7 was advised I would be contacted 15/7 before 11 but did not hear anything. I Phoned on 15/7 was given ref 11270179. Claire phoned me 16/7 confirmed she would phone to go through all the details 18/7 which she did. On 20/7 I pointed out that I felt your website was misleading as I was under the impression that cremation would be held within 50 mile radius but had been informed it had been arranged at venue over 100 miles away. 29/7 claire gave me the offer of paying £50 rather than £100 to courier the ashes to me which I agreed to and which I made immediate payment for. Having not been given a cremation date I chased twice and the cremation was finally carried out 17/8. As the venue for the cremation had been moved to a more local location I opted to collect the ashes and was told the £50 refund would be processed, I had to chase for this refund which I received 26/8.The only positive I can offer is that Claire and lee were both very understanding and helpful and I actually felt sorry for them as they had to keep apologising for the inefficiency of the entire process. I would advise anybody to NOT use the Co Op to arrange a direct cremation.

Natalia, and the team behind her, supported us with compassion, understanding and complete professionalism. We were delighted with the personal aspects we could incorporate into the ceremony, and that all could be livestreamed to people unable to attend in person very simply and successfully. Working with Cathy Kemp, the celebrant, was also a pleasure. I would have no hesitation recommending this team for their careful steering throughout the process. What could have been a sad and difficult ordeal, was transformed into life affirming and positive experience, for which I will be eternally grateful. We received lots of appreciative comments from those attending the funeral and participating online, and we felt our loved one had a really fitting send off. Thank you.

In difficult times i am glad to use the Co op and it’s been a family tradition. The reception is always kind and understanding and it’s always appreciated the way the burden is eased. Solutions are always found in good time for problems. 
Most importantly when visiting the undertaker a helpful atmosphere is created.
