Standard Simple Funeral

Service includes:

Transfer of the deceased to our premises during normal working hours (9am - 5pm Monday – Friday, excluding bank holidays), from within a 10 mile radius. (Outside of these hours an additional charge of £50.00 will be incurred).
Provision of a simple wood effect coffin with 6 brass effect handles.
Dressing of the deceased in a white gown, which we will provide, or in their own clothing
Viewing of the deceased during normal working hours.
Care of the deceased until the funeral.
Guidance on registration of the death.
Attending to all necessary arrangements and paperwork, providing a funeral director and bearers for the funeral.
A cremation at the nearest crematorium, or a graveside service at a local cemetery, at a date and time of our choosing (usually prior to 11am).
A traditional motorized hearse to transport the coffin directly to the crematorium/cemetery for the funeral

J G Fielder & Son has been an established funeral director in York and the surrounding area for more than 120 years.

Chris and Victor Fielder, and their experienced team offer funeral planning services to help you during your time of need. Their Tadcaster branch, located on the High Street is able to assist you with traditional and non-religious funerals, as well as green burials and personalised celebrations of life.

As a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors, UK Independent Funeral Directors and National Federation of Funeral Directors, this funeral home in Tadcaster prides itself on its wide range of expertise and services.

The funeral home has a tranquil chapel of rest, and a private arrangement room to discuss your loved one’s funeral plans in comfort. J G Fielder & Son in Tadcaster is also able to help arrange for flowers, funeral stationery and catering as well as any other funeral essentials and special details. Their hearse, which comes with a chauffer and bearers is included in their service. The funeral home is also able to organise a limousine to transport you to the crematorium, church or service venue. Each limousine can carry up to six family members.

When my darling mother passed away in November 17 I chose to use Fielders.
They carried out everything so professionally.
Sadly my beloved husband died on 7 February this year and I had no hesitation in asking Fielders to look after him for me and to organise his ceremony.

On both occasions they were professional and compassionate and the services they provided on both very sad occasions were excellent
