About Us
Founded in 1986, and still managed by the Roberts family, G Roberts Independent Family Funeral Directors is a funeral director in Scarborough. Graham Roberts, his son George and Graham’s sister Christine oversee the day to day running of the funeral profession with assistance from their dedicated trained staff. Every member of staff at G Roberts acknowledges that each person’s life is unique, and they understand the importance of replicating an individual’s life in how their funeral arrangements are conducted.
With decades of experience, G Roberts have gained an excellent reputation in arranging funerals in Scarborough and the surrounding areas. Their main funeral home in Sherwood Street, Scarborough, was purpose built as a funeral home in 1906, and it has now been adapted to the companies modern needs, carrying out a wide range of different funeral services over the years.
In 2019 and 2020, G Roberts Independent Family Funeral Director achieved recognition as Runner’s Up in the Golden Charter Funeral Planner Of The Year Award for Yorkshire and East Lancashire Region.
Their continued service within the community was also recognised by finishing as a finalist in The Scarborough News Business Excellence Awards 2021.
