We cannot thank everybody at co op marske funeral care enough they supported us all the way through the arrangements we had to make for my mother in law’s funeral they were patient and didn’t rush us when some things were hard to make a decision on . They gave us all the information that we needed through out the process and answered all questions. Staff were warm and supportive when we called into marske .

As per deceased request for a direct cremation once funeral was paid for( You have to pay for a direct cremation on booking) the after service we received from CO-OP Marske was very poor.
We were told at the initial appointment that the deceased would be collected from James Cook Hospital in the next 24Hrs and transferred to Guisborough CO-OP funeral parlour once there we would be informed promptly. 3 days later we had to phone ourselves to ask where the deceased was, the CO-OP confirmed the deceased was there and they had forgot to inform ourselves, no apologies at this time

Also at the initial appoint we were informed that once the death had been registered and the CO-OP was in possession of the green slip they would be able to give ourselves a cremation date, again after waiting 3 days we phoned again to ask what the issue was and were told there had been an issue with the paperwork, when challenged the CO-OP finally admitted it was there error, fin da my received a cremation date and a pathetic apology

Not the kind of service or should I say the lack of service and communication during our family’s difficult time

Ryan was the gentleman who dealt with our family the most and we can not thank him enough for making this experience a lot easier. Nothing was ever to much for him and he was so accommodating.
