Cant thank Peter Taylor Funeral Directors enough. They dealt with my mums death and funeral with so much care,compassion,dignity and excellence. They made the family part of every decision and provided an exceptional service throughout. From picking mums body up from hospital to arranging the cemetry and taking care of funeral arrangements . The funeral was so dignified walking in front of the hearse as it arrived at house to stopping on route to allow mourners cars to catch up and pull in behind the procession. Helping family members be able to carry coffin into hall andthen bowing to the coffin as it left. Would highly recommend using this service.

During a traumatic time after the sudden death of my father, Josie has been nothing but perfect, she has guided me through the whole funeral process, given me options to enable me to make my own informed choices in carrying out my dad’s wishes.  

She has been genuinely empathetic and been a great support, she has also given me reasons to laugh which was much needed.  I could not have asked for either myself or my late father to be looked after any better.

Organising my Dad's funeral was a really daunting and upsetting task but Deborah at Peter Taylor Funeral Services made it a much less daunting task. She was kind and helpful and ensured everything was explained and arranged for me. I have never had to organise a funeral before and did not know what to expect or what was involved.

Alex and his team on the day and the celebrant recommended by Deborah made the funeral itself run smoothly and were very comforting to me.

Kindness from day 1 - all the stress & worry about was handled by the team who looked after Dad. We can’t thank you all enough for everything you did for us, it really helped at a difficult time

In general I was satisfied with the funeral home taking care of my father.
However, we seemed to have to wait some time before my Dad was ready to visit. Then a phone call with urgency telling us we’d have to visit very soon. There were some unfortunate and upsetting choice of words used  (‘Mother Nature has not been kind’ and ‘your dad’s body has been through a lot with the post mortem’). Followed by failure to call back after this to let me know when I could actually visit.   On another occasion I was told someone had visited when in fact it had been a phone call to arrange a visit. This miscommunication  left the family concerned over the weekend wondering who had visited.
When I complained directly, the apology wasn’t particularly forthcoming. 
Sadly, these shortcomings have overshadowed the rest of the good service received.

Although Marguerite requested a Direct Cremation, and we couldn't attend, everything you did for her was done with the utmost care and attention. I particularly want to single out Deborah, for her kindness and thoughtfulness every step of the way.

We had straight forward requirement but you kept us fully informed.
I was surprised but very please when that you informed me when you had Paul in your care.
Also when I was unwell you offered to send documents by email so we could continue with the arrangements. When we called in to see you we were made to feel welcome and in safe hands.
Again with arrangements for the cremation we were kept fully informed. It was so nice when we were invited to see the ashes scattered.

All the staff we spoke to were helpful and very pleasant to converse with.

Thank you for your prompt respectful and straightforward response to my request to fulfil my husband’s wishes for his funeral. You helpful and supportive approach made a difficult task bearable.
