From the very first phone call advising them that my father had passed away to being brought back home after the funeral, their efficient and friendly service was second to none. Their guidance and support at every step was much appreciated. They made a very difficult situation so much easier for us all by their kind and caring attitude. A really great family business.

From the start Thornalley Funeral Services provided a top class service especially in these very difficult times.


Particularly memorable was when I asked for the Funeral car to pass by our house, because of our ages we decided not to attend. This was a very hard decision. However, the car stopped just before our house and Andrew got out and walked in front of the car and then stopped just outside it. Driver and assistant got out, bowed, and showed enormous respect. After a few words Andrew then proceeded to walk in front of the car until reaching further up the road. Magnificent!!!!!Could not have been better . Thank you.

As might be expected from this highly regarded funeral director everything was handled impeccably. Despite, I imagine, being under pressure at the moment due to the higher than usual death rate as a result of Covid, we always felt they had time for us and any questions we had. The personal touch counts for a lot when emotions are raw and that's certainly what we got. The excellent reputation the firm enjoys locally is richly deserved.

The arrangements prior to the funeral and the funeral it’s self were carried out to the highest possible standard. Each individual member of the team were very professional and efficient in their own tasks which resulted in excellent teamwork which made the event run smoothly at this difficult time for family and friends
