A totally professional Company from start to finish, regardless of staff hierarchy. Empathetic staff without being patronising, kept us informed at all times and even when we turned up without appt managed to accommodate our needs. Dean called on the morning of the funeral to make sure we were all ok and if we still had any questions - 8.30am!
They did a 'drive past' outside the care home where mum last lived so that the residents could pay their respects. We expected a drive around the horseshoe shaped road and for the family cars to join the procession behind the hearse but instead Dean (funeral director) exited the hearse, walked in front of it past the residents and bowed to them and the coffin then escorted the hearse past the family members waiting to join the cortege.
At the crematorium, everything was explained to the family members that were going to carry the coffin and the whole programme ran smoothly and without incident. Hopefully they will stay as an independent C ... ompany and continue to give this first rate service. more

We were met with genuine compassion and dignity from the first meeting right up to the day of the funeral.

Mum arranged her funeral plan with Thornally in 2015, such a wonderful gift for us at this difficult time. The superb staff at Thornally went over the details with us to make sure mum had the service she requested. Everyone we met and spoke with were super helpful, empathic, and understanding.
The environment was perfect, calm, considered, attention to detail, and the chaple of rest was beautiful.
The support offered from the moment I called right through to aftercare for the whole family was excellent.
