In a time of great stress & uncertainty, I approached Susan Whymark to look after my dear wife's funeral. I did so based on the recommendation of a friend. Susan Whymark Funeral Service is an experienced firm of independent funeral directors in Harleston. Established in 2004, the firm is run by mother and daughter, Dianne and Susan Whymark.
Susan has been a funeral director since 1996 and gained the National Association of Funeral Directors diploma in 1998. She is one of the few female funeral directors in the country to start her own business from scratch. Dianne comes from a nursing background, with 21 years’ experience in palliative care.
At Susan Whymark Funeral Service you can expect a warm welcome from the family and experienced members of staff. Everything is carried out under one roof, from arranging the funeral to visiting the chapel of rest.
They also offer free transport for all those necessary appointments relating to the funeral, should you need it. Alternatively, their kind and compassionate staff can visit you in the comfort of your own home to make the arrangements.

From start to finish the level of attention given to us was outstanding, we never felt rushed when we popped in without an appointment. All our wishes and requests were met to a very high standard. The plans we made with Sue Whymarks help, were very hard as it was a funeral for our 14 month daughter. We as a family were very greatful to have a family run funeral directors on our door step, but I would have been very happy to travel to have them in the future.

We received excellent support from Kelly of Susan Whymark funeral services when planning Mum’s funeral. She gave us all the time we needed, explaining everything fully. We felt listened to and she made suggestions that helped us have a unique and personal farewell.
All the staff we met were polite, smart and efficient. My sister and I strongly recommend using their services.
