I am leaving this review on behalf of my family following the recent loss of our beautiful dad.

I must start by saying, having the responsibility, as my sisters and I did, to arrange our dad’s funeral, was a responsibility we all took exceptionally seriously and has always been one of those events that we have spoken about never wanting to have to arrange.

We have been exceptionally fortunate as a family, to have had our parents in our lives until we have reached middle age, but that doesn’t make things any easier, everyone’s loss is devastating to them and our little family was, and remains, truly devastated.

We selected RSJ Family Funeral Directors because we had heard so many positive things about the company from friends and colleagues, however, we have to say, we didn’t really understand just what was required and how RSJ would reach out and support us - and their support was truly amazing!

From the initial call and booking with Shannon, to the first meeting she held with my sisters and me, the professionalism and the quality of service provided was outstanding. From the way they helped personally guide us through what we needed to do, provided options and recommendations for us when we felt things were too difficult to think about at that time, and how efficient and effective they were in delivering the funeral service, meant that we had a flawless opportunity to show our respects to our dad and support our mum through this very painful period – they really did offer an impeccable service and we actually feel really proud of how we celebrated our dad’s life on the day of his funeral.

I think for my family, what we came to feel very quickly was that RSJ understood us, they knew our dad and our family – even though we had never met before – and they were able to articulate our requirements and put them into action.

Richard Senior and all the rest of the team were exactly the same. The way they greeted us when we came to the chapel to pay our respects, to the calm, peaceful and beautifully prepared chapel and the dignity shown to our dad and our family as we struggled with our grief on the day of the service was just first-class.

Another point that we discussed as a family was the environment that they have created in the chapel. We all have a perception of what a funeral parlour will be like, and for many, that is really quite daunting. However, the beautiful spaces that they have created took all of that fear away and made us feel that our dad was safe, secure and truly at peace.

Thank-you again Shannon, Richard Senior and all the team, we are exceptionally grateful.

Without any reservation, my family and I can thoroughly recommend Richard and Shannon Jenkins for any funeral requirements. Their attention to detail and their friendly manner made a sad occasion much more bearable. Everything went smoothly and we felt well looked after! After using them for my husband’s funeral, I would have no hesitation in engaging their services in the future and recommending them to family and friends.

We recently had the sad occasion if burying our lovely brother/uncle. We've previously met Shannon when we had another funeral in her previous office. We wanted to go with Shannon again so we're so happy our family member advised where she is now established. Shannon is such a lovely lady, very easily to talk to. She does a very professional job and is very courteous. Nothing is too much trouble for her. We also met her son Ryan this time and he too was very professional and courteous throughout. He looked after us so well too. We hope we don't have to arrange any more funerals for a very long time but if we do we will kot hesitate in.contacting Shannon/Ryan again. They come highly recommended, they did our Ken proud and we're so happy we chose them again

RSJ was very helpful they are very knowledgeable in there job helping us to prepare for the funeral gave us plenty of time and effort towards dad's funeral and on the day everything went well I could not fault them at all I will be sending a little something for all the help thay gave us

Shannon provided wonderful customer care and helped me to design the perfect funeral for my beautiful mum, including horses and carriage, lovely fresh flowers, a piper and a truly memorable service. I can not speak highly enough about the service myself and my son received from Shannon and Richard Jenkins. Upon the sudden and tragic loss of my Dear Husband of 53 Years. Shannon is one of the most kind and caring people I have ever met. Her help in particular at such a time helped to get us through. As well as being totally professional ,carrying out everything I needed and asked for to be done for my Husband, Shannon and Richard and their son and nephew went above and beyond to comfort and assist my broken hearted son and myself. They helped us more than words can ever say. There is a feeling of warmth and peace around the chapel and everything they do to make the time spent with a loved one peaceful and blessed .  I highly recommend them. I am sure that with so long a time over many decades of taking care of families in times of deep grief  and loss ,their genuine sincerity and wish to ease people  shines through.
