My overall opinion of West Norwood coop, was that the day itself went very well. But I found the initial meeting quite disconcerting as we met in the front of the shop and the staff member meeting with us didn't sit with us, she stayed at her computer and was still checking emails and answering phones. I found this not to be a great way to be dealt with with regard to organising my brothers funeral. She just wasn't with us. There was an issue with the order of service - as the date of death was entered incorrectly on the order of service and the remembrance book. I was asked to check the proof before going to print, but then received a phone call pressurising me into giving the go ahead to print without having properly gone through with a fine tooth comb. When I pointed out the mis-print after my brother funeral - I received no apology as even though I was given the proof read - as someone who is grieving I wasn't necessarily the best person to check information like this - and the fact there they don't check one more time after my proof read is disconcerting - given the importance of this final check, they should emphasise this in the email - as to be honest I was mostly checking the design, layout and my brothers picture. There was no apology or admittance of any responsibility regarding this - just a want to make it all my fault - which for a grieving person felt quite insensitive. I asked for a re-print free of charge and untimely had to contact the head office, they were insistent on me paying something, my argument being that I've already paid for 50 orders of service and remembrance that were incorrect, so as a gesture of good will to do this for free, there lack of willing to do this off there own back just felt like they're not really there for you or have your back, which for a funeral director is simply not good enough.
