The office staff Sue in Woolwich and Gilly in Ramsgate were very caring and helpful and cannot praise then enough as was Jake our funeral director, who went out of his way and got us through a very sad day. I cannot praise him highly enough and thank him for everything. Excellent service all round, the drivers were very courteous. Thank you

We were not fully prepared for the death of our mother and had not given proper thought to the issues that we would face. Co-operative Funeralcare were very responsive to our needs and talked us through the options for the funeral and advised us on the practical steps we would need to take. Discussions with a dedicated funeral planner were focused, considerate and extremely helpful and we were put in contact with an excellent celebrant for the service. Liaison between Co-operative Funeralcare and Co-operative Legal Services has so far been good. I feel that in spite of a lack of preparedness on our part our mother had a touching and memorable service.

We are a care home and have used the Co-op several times.
They are very understanding to our needs, giving the the residents and staff plenty of time to load the vehicles and to enter the chapel.

I must also mention the office staff. Sue was very accommodating supporting us with the order of service and finding such touching muisc.

The Co-op funeral care where absolutely amazing , Sue and Mark really made sure everything was covered and often went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and everything was planned to how I wanted it to be. I am so grateful for them, they really helped so much, made the whole situation a lot easier .

The funeral went smoothly and the funeral director and team on the day were very professional and caring. I dealt with 2 members of the arranging team one was very good and always very prompt with returning to me or my siblings. The other member of the arranging team was adequate but was difficult to contact directly and provided some incorrect information at the outset regarding payment options and invoices. No major issue but would have been helpful to get correct info first time .thank you for your overall care in what was a difficult time.

The funeral directors at co-op funeral home were very kind and caring with my Mum. They were very helpful and answered any questions that we had. Our family are thankful for everything that they did for our Mum.

The woman I was dealing with was not sympathetic to the needs of grieving people who lost a loved one. My brother died on 28th March and was buried 32 days after he died. Kept all that time in cold storage like a peace of meat. To add insult to injury she informed me on the 28th April, the day before the funeral that although the church service can go on the 29th April the burial will be on the 9th of May. I was very unhappy and told her so. I said my brother will be hurried tomorrow even if I dig the hole myself. My younger brother and sister have come all the way from Chicago for the funeral and we just picked them up from Heathrow airport when she informed me of that. She said that the grave diggers were on holiday or something like that. But later on the Priest informed me that she forgot to tell the council about the burial. When I made it clear to her that my brother will be burried after the church service somehow, she called later to say it was all sorted. I was very disappointed with the treatment my brother received and the way I was spoken to also. I could never speak to her on the phone. I remember one day I called 27 times the phone was either busy or not answered. I will not be recommending your services to anyone else.

Everyone I meet was so helpful, the funeral was lovely, the Celebrant was excellent. It was made easier for me that I could deal with my local Co-op in Selsdon instead of having to travel to Woolwich. All was very smoothly handled and I would recommend to anyone.

The Woolwich co op 
Would definitely not recommend them, especially if you only want a cremation with no funeral
as my dad wanted.  We felt very neglected and forgotten as nobody bothered to call us as we were told would happen after my dad was taken from the hospice where he sadly passed away. Instead two days later, my mum and I had to go there in person to find out what was going on because nobody picks a phone up either. It was fortunate that we lived near by and could drive there to see someone. We also had to do this twice when we told by Cecilia that she would be in touch.
What was a terribly upsetting time for us, was certainly made far worse by what we feel our incompetent staff at Woolwich.
