    Happy at first, but problems after staff who was looking after service left suddenly.

    Kept phoning, texting and sending emails for over a week and was not informed the person who was responsible left.

    Calls were diverted. I left several msg before anyone called me back. I was very anxious as my Sister's funeral date was soon and still a lot to finalise.

    I phoned Hayes branch for help. The staff w
    polite, but as not one person was assigned to me, I felt things did not run smoothly.

    For example; I did not imagine that it would be expected of me to find and send info for the service booklet or check to see if the organist
    would be present at the service. Luckily, I mention this, as I was informed the organ was not working but at the last minute pianist was able to attend.

    It seems to be one worry after another with me keep phoning checking and worrying, which was stressful.

    The undertaker team was polite, but I found we were not allowed to finish the last 2 hymns in the service booklet, before my Sister's coffin was opened and everyone was instructed to gather around to view her body. When I realised what was happening I did mention this, but was informed the pianist would still play hymns.

    I sent a mobile msg to the undertaker and spoke to a staff member at Harlesden branch that I left some papers in the limousine, but heard nothing back to date.

    Why was the invoice sent in January 2023, with the person's name on it who left in early December 2022? I phoned and mentioned this several times, but to date, further invoices are still being sent with the same name. Some, items on the invoice were finalised after this staff member left. Is this legal?

    There is so much more, which I found to be unsatisfactory, but I would like to mention all staff spoken to were courteous.

    Everything started off so well and I was confident in the Harlesden Co-op's funeral services and my funeral planner did her best to start my experience well despite being unwell during the time. At the halfway point, a few issues occurred where I was left with no communication for a week due to staff sickness and nothing had been handed over or communicated to anyone else to look after my funeral arrangements for a week; so I lost a week of planning. I was then given hope the next week that we still have time so it pressured me a bit but the weekend before my Dad's funeral, staff sickness occurred again and nothing had been looked after or handed over. Not even the director was aware of the planner's sickness until the day of my Father's viewing and the day before his funeral; which left me stressed, panicked, angry and upset all at once whilst also trying to deal with my distressed mother because of all this happening. I had to accept that some things I planned were not going to happen but the director was able to look after what I needed 24 hours before the funeral after much calling around and demanding responses. This isn't what I expected and frankly it left me feeling really distressed about the whole situation. Even the day before the funeral, the director said he would give me a ring as a courtesy but I didn't get that so that was also a bit disappointing. All in all, started great, but didn't end great if I had to be honest even though we did have a nice service in the end.

    Good day
    The service my family and I received from Leigh and Gary was superb. 
    Both were professional, sensitive, respectful and sympathetic without bordering on false.
    They each listened to our requests and  Leigh always responded to calls and very helpful.
    It was most definitely the right choice of funeral arrangers. Though it may seem strange to recommend on such matters; I would truly recommend the Coop funeral services. Thank you once again Leigh & Gary.

    I would like to express my thanks a million to the group of guys that brought Delores and the family to the church, the funeral ground and back to the Hall. They were absolutely amazing and was so gentle, caring, and respectful. I have a funeral plan with Co-op and I am so elated that I saw ahead of time what and how co-op will handle my personal affairs when it comes to it. The guys are amazing and I would really like them all to be told how grateful the family are and that we thought so highly of them.

    The man in charge on the day was so AMAZING, lovely and warm - please give him a great God bless you from me (Pauline) and the other drive who took the family in the car. He was so lovely and warm - again tell him God bless you from me and I appreciate everything they both done on the day.

    From Hayley in the co-op office through to Lyn from start to finish the service was easy, stress-free and comfortable. They knew what and how to do it and to give the family such peace of mind in a difficult time.

    You have a great team at Harlesden and lovely set of staff. Thanks a million once again for making Delores homegoing funeral such a smooth transaction.

    The service was very good, however getting through direct on the phone was challenging, as was mostly on divert. Got through to the Central Care Team and left messages and was called back at all times by Harlesden Cooperative Funeral Care.

    Thank you to the team in Hayes and the support and guidance given on the wash and dress day.

    Special thanks to Juliecia who was very organised, and demonstrated excellent Client care skills throughout.

    A big thank you to the entire team. The care and support shown on the day was very good. Keep up the good work.

    From start to finish our experience with Co op funeral care has been awful and I actually think that I've suffered PTSD from this experience.

    Very courteous and kind service provided by Juliecia  and Hayley. I should also mention that initially the Stichley / Kings Norton funeral care services were of help.
    The hearse director on the funeral day was very helpful. Kept us informed of the procedure leading up to the burial. The co-op must be very proud of these employees.

    We had an absolutely awful experience with my mother's clothes going missing which led to a massive argument with us having to stay in the funeral office for 4 hours, her coffin was scratched, she was wearing someone else's pink shroud when we provided a dress , underwear, gloves jewellery, her coffin was in pink satin instead of white...her personal grooming was not done and her face was covered in facial hair ...her make-up was not done.
    It was an absolute debacle.
    We paid over £6 000 and it was absolutely awful.
