Sue the funeral planner was excellent. She kept in touch, arranged everything for me and even chased the death certificate with the doctors when there was a delay. She was an excellent listener and made the job of arranging my mum's funeral so much easier for me. Sue arranged the orders of service, seeds and my mum's ashes return. I can't thank her enough. Vernon the undertaker on the day of mum's funeral was also really caring. He called me both the night before to go through the arrangements and called the day after the funeral to check everything went well.

Well where do i start? We booked our wifes/mums funeral and all seemed good. Went back a few days after to take in some photos and to tell them what booklets we wanted for the service. Went there every day for a whole week, and also called at least twice a day in that time, all calls diverted! After a full 7 days of trying and after being told, when booking the funeral that the chapel of rest would be in touch with us to arrange a viewing, we called the chapel of rest ourselfs. Well what a relive that we did! Was told the lady that was dealing with our funeral and who was running the shop, was on annual leave and nobody was working that shop, we are now 3 days from the funeral, and i have no books or photos printed, no one to talk to about getting it sorted. Worst of all NO COMMUNICATION what soever from the co-op or abbeywood funeral care, lucky for us ceilia at the woolwich branch/chapel of rest got everything sorted for us, but if i hadnt of called them NOTHING would have been done! And i wouldnt have had any booklets or anything ready for the funeral, so much so i even had to chase up the florist to make sure all was good with the flowers, also they was sent to the funeral parlour and not our home as we had asked! All in all its been shambolic to say the least, all at a time when we are all devastated at the loss of our wife/mother. Total lack of respect shown to not only us but our dear departed aswell.
Also we paid for embalming to go to visit at the chapel of rest but by the time we got everything sorted we had no time to even visit as she wasnt even ready, Again an absolute disgrace and total lack of respect for our family. Formal complaint to head office will be incoming immanently. 
Would never recommend this place ever!

Amazing service. Sue went above and beyond to ensure the funeral went smoothly and ensuring my Dads ashes were delivered in time for Christmas . At such a sad time I felt I could depend on Sue to support me.

A huge thank you to Sue, Caroline, and Tracey for all their help with making the arrangements and making the day of the funeral run smoothly.
Also thank you to Celebrant David for such a wonderful service, David took great care to ensure it was exactly what we wanted, we couldnt have asked for better.
We were so impressed with the kindness and compassion shown by all. Thank you Caroline for going the extra mile to call the following day, that was very kind.
Please also give our thanks to the florist as the flowers were absolutely gorgeous.
Everyone made a sad day feel well organised, and full of care, attention to detail and great respect.

On the day, they were excellent. Leading up to the day they probably could have been a bit more proactive on advising of certain information, such as the deadline to order the Orders of Service and when I would hear from the funeral director about the timings for the day. When I did query though, they did come back to me very promptly.

After a bad experience with the co-op funeral service at Eltham. When I made an appointment with them to arrange the funeral. I arrived at the appointment to find out that I could not proceed with the arrangements because I did not have the funeral plan details and they said that they can't obtain the plan information that ment I would have to make another appointment when I had the plan details and the next appointment would be 3 days later. I was told that I could go to the Abbey Wood office the following day to make the arrangements. This would be inconvenient because of the distance. I went to the Abbey Wood office and Louise was very professional with making the arrangements plus very sympathetic with me over my personal loss. The funeral went without a hitch. I'm pleased to say that I was impressed with Louise in making the day for me happen when I felt so low.

We were very disappointed with the coffin and that they never had a coffin until 4 days before the funeral and that was after they said they only had a Chelsea one and we told them that no way was that suitable .and we were not happy with the coffin that we did end up with and I felt very sorry for the poor lady who had to call me and tell me that the only coffin they had was a Chelsea one has she was trying her best to sort it out for us

Our original appointment to arrange the funeral was cancelled. When we attended the rearranged meeting the person in the branch had no idea we were booked to see her. We carried on, but really should have gone somewhere else. Then they lost the green form and couldn't collect my mum from the hospital. The lady in branch advised that the flowers should be delivered to that branch the day before the funeral because the funeral was quite early, but the branch was shut on that day and several of the floral tributes were missing, that we know of. When I called the head office a manager called me back, and called me Tina, my name is Jeanette. The lady who was the director on the day called to talk me through what would happen and stated she would be with us throughout. However the first thing she said on the day was that she had to go, and someone else would be dealing with us. There was absolutely no professionalism throughout the whole process and I would never use the co-op again, and if anyone were to ask my opinion I would strongly recommend they go somewhere else.
