Whilst all passed well on the day, the administration and preparation left much to be desired. The first person to deal with matters appeared to know what she was doing, but when someone else took over (who at least provided an email apology), it became clear that there had had been errors and omissions.

At times it was difficult to ascertain the position on various significant points, not least the change of ownership and payment for the burial plot, along with the catering arrangements for the "wake". In addition, despite repeated requests, I was not provided with direct telephone/contact details for the London (Woolwich) office, who were managing the funeral day itself, until the afternoon before.

Photographs also appear to show that one of the plaques upon the coffin wrongly showed my father's age as 96, when it was actually 95.

Whilst I was happy with the service provided by the Co-0p Funeralcare staff from Woolwich on the day of the funeral (including a subsequent courtesy telephone call), I was generally disappointed with the service provided by F. Woods in Skegness.

I had to plan this funeral from overseas, which was stressful to say the least and meant a lot of late nights due to the time difference. Sarah at Frank Woods made this whole process so much easier than I ever thought it would be. Everything was done over the phone or via email.
I didn’t actually meet Sarah until the morning of the funeral and everything was perfect. Exactly what we, as a family, had wanted - it all ran so smoothly. Couldn’t recommend the staff at Frank Woods enough - Donna and Steve were also super friendly and helpful.

We had a few hiccups (not their fault) due to GP not issuing paperwork. They were lovely to deal with and I was very impressed by the way my mother's jewellery was returned in boxes and pouched, as if they'd come from a jeweller's. Nice touch 🙂

I had the unfortunate occasion of having to organise a funeral for my husband, it was a devastating time for all the family, but I needn't have worried as Frank Woods and the whole team made everything plain sailing, nothing was too much trouble for them, they explained everything clearly even on occasions when I found myself asking the same questions over and over, they cared for us all, they were patient, and went above and beyond, they even once they knew that the use of red was in our planning that all the ushers wore a red tie on the day, lovely touch, my husband was treated with respect at all stages even when I mentioned that he didn't look quite right, it was taken care of, I can't thank them enough, you are all amazing.

Wood's always give a perfect service. They know their work inside out and are always willing to go above and beyond. We had some real challenges with paperwork - and the staff at Wood's not only knew how to guide us but also were extremely flexible and patient with the whole process.

May I take this opportunity to give thanks to the whole team for the exemplary way in which they conducted my wife Sandra’s funeral arrangements, most especially to Sarah and Tina whose attention to detail and care could not have been bettered.

The chosen Celebrant; Jo Wheeler excelled and all of the family and friends had occasion to laugh and to cry as Jo spoke of Sandra’s life and introduced my Grandsons partner Claudia, who read two of Sandra’s poems. I feel sure that Sandra would have been at one, both pleased and proud.

The staff at Frank Wood were most helpful and supportive throughout. Everyone was friendly, they gave advice and guidance at this most difficult time. I could have not wished for the process to be made easier for me. I would recommend them to anyone who wants professional staff, yet they go that extra mile to make everything run as smooth as possible. A great big thank you to them.
