Our Mother bought a funeral plan many years ago from Co-op Funeral Care, she did this as she wanted to plan and take care of her own funeral and the costs. Mum wanted to make things as easy they could be for the family anticipating that as a much loved mother her passing would already be a difficult time in itself for us.

The Co-op Funeralcare team on Whitegate Drive, Blackpool, lived up to her expectations, I am sure of it, as they exceeded our own expectations of what we expected.

We were guided through the process of funeral planning and preparation at a very gentle pace, allowing plenty of time for questions to be answered and ideas to be explored during the very sensitive period of our recent loss. Any further information or suggestions needed was given at any time we asked.

There were a few additional (reasonably priced) costs to the funeral that were outside the original plan but they came from additional choices that were made by us as a family and again we were pleased with the result.

We recently received the ashes and later took them to a final resting place, again, the Co-op organised everything we needed for this to be as easy as it could be.

I would have no hesitation whatsoever recommending anyone using Co-op Funeralcare of Whitegate Drive, Blackpool, taking care of arrangements for a close relative or friend for their final farewell.

On the day of the funeral the service was excellent. Unfortunately for us a few errors were made in the early planning, making us feel rather uneasy. However Joanne soon sorted out the fine details and we regained confidence enough before the day of the funeral to relax and take in what was happening.

Co Operative Funeralcare of Whitegate Drive Blackpool, in partnership with Steven Street, Alexandria, Scotland, provided a professional, caring, friendly and affordable service, overseeing the repatriation of my late wife from Blackpool to her ancestral home in Scotland for her funeral. It meant a great deal to me, her husband in Blackpool, and to her family in Scotland, that she was laid to rest among her loved ones in the place where she was born. Both my wife and the family were very well supported throughout, and the process of planning and delivery of the funeral was made accessible and straightforward for the family. The Co Operative is a highly regarded brand in which anyone can trust, and I would heartily recommend the offices of Whitegate Drive and Steven Street Alexandria to anyone. Lucy at Whitegate Drive Coop has been just wonderful and is very good at her job. From our first meeting, she was genuinely interested in who our beloved mum was, and throughout the process of arranging visits to the chapel and mum’s celebration of life, she was thoughtful, kind, respectful and focussed on helping us do the best for mum. Lucy went above and beyond in all matters for our lovely mum and ourselves, and I’ll be eternally grateful to her for all she did to help us during the worst period of our lives. With Lucy’s help we turned what would have been a horrendous day, into a happy and loving celebration of mum’s life.. Xxx
