Bournes were wonderful from the minute my dad arrived with them right up to his funeral . The send off was exactly what we wanted and we couldn’t have asked for better. Ben and Hayley were lovely throughout and were there when we had any questions.

The attention to detail and the caring nature of the staff were above and beyond my expectations. They made a sad emotional day easy and carefree almost enjoyable because I was able to grieve and say a very sad farewell to my late husband without worry .I felt cared for from the first phone call .

I would thoroughly recommend Bournes to anyone. From the moment we stepped nervously through their door we were made to feel at ease, everything in the process, which was all new and a minefield to us, was carefully explained and they took over all of our arrangements exactly as we had requested them, they cannot do enough for their customers. Ben and Catherine in particular are very caring, thoughtful and understanding and made a difficult time so much more bearable. When my Father died the enormity of all the tasks ahead were overwhelming but much of the burden was lifted by Bournes who went above and beyond our expectations. I would not hesitate to recommend them

Whilst it is a process I never wish to have to go through again, Bourne's were great in both the sorting out of the service and then the actual day of the service itself. Their compassion was so heartfelt and were on hand to answer all queries no matter how big or small. So much better using an independent FD than a chain. Also their choice of Annie as our celebrant was inspired and she also deserves a mention for her delivery of the service.

I cannot fault the staff at Bournes for their care and and support over the last few weeks. This is truly a family firm with a personal approach. They have been easy to talk to and gently steered us through the inevitable procedures required with professional skill and reassurance. They were readily available and all enquiries and questions were dealt with promptly and effectively. At all times, I was confident that Mum was in safe hands and treated with respect and dignity. I cannot thank them all enough.

All the staff at Bournes Ade a very difficult situation bearable.
Helpful, professional and incredibly sympathetic.
Whilst no one wants to be bereaved, the process of managing the funeral arrangements was made so much simpler, easier and less stressful because of them.
I genuinely cannot thank them enough, or recommend them should anyone need these services

Hayley, Catherine and Ben were very professional from the first moment we were introduced to them. At such a difficult time, they provided us with every assistance and guidance throughout the process. To be able to visit Austin in their Chapel was a great comfort to us. On the day of Austin's funeral, they treated him with the utmost respect which helped us get through the day. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

We chose Bourne's because they are an independent family run business. We couldn't have made a better choice. From our first meeting, we knew that my husband would be treated with great care and respect. Everybody was very professional, but in a kind and caring way and nothing was too much trouble. The private chapels are a lovely touch, it was a great comfort to know I could visit my husband without making an appointment, and that he wouldn't be constantly moved around. The cremation service was exactly as we wanted it to be. The celebrant, arranged by Bourne's, spent a lot of time with us to learn about my husband, and delivered a lovely service. I can't thank the team at Bourne's enough for all their help and support during this very difficult time.

As parents we never thought for one minute we would need to be arranging our 20yr old sons funeral, but after a tragic accident it was something we had to do.

We visited several funeral directors and Bournes of Sittingbourne instantly made us feel at home and showed genuine sadness for what had happened. They explained everything very clearly and stated a clear price with no "if's or but's". Due to the young age and popularity of our Son we knew his funeral would be a big affair and would require some careful planning. With the great help from Ben at Bournes, the funeral went exactly as planned including the convey of around 100 motorcycles and over 200 mourners. Catherine was brilliant and kept us updated on every detail. I would highly recommend Bournes of Sittingbourne to anyone who has to arrange a funeral, they made a horrendous situation so much more bearable. Our family will forever be grateful to all the staff.

Myself and my family cannot thank Ben and the staff at Bournes enough for the wonderful, professional service they provided for my mum's funeral. Ben was very supportive, understanding, caring and compassionate at a very difficult time. Ben explained the process to us and we were never rushed. We were given the time and the space to think about the decisions that needed to be made. We had family flying out to Australia, and Ben secured a time for the funeral that not only allowed family to travel some distance but allowed those family members about to travel away to attend the funeral. The care and understanding that went into this was exemplary and we will always be truly grateful. The online obituary is a beautiful and delightful way of commemorating a loved one and allows people to donate to a charity that means a great deal to the family as well as leaving condolences. Nothing was any trouble, they were always on hand to answer questions and fulfil requests, to sit and chat about ...  mum and when Catherine rang to say mum was in the chapel and they'd had a chat and mum was alright, was such a very special touch and so very calming and reassuring. We were treated with the upmost kindness, respect, care and compassion and mum was treated with the upmost dignity and respect that she so truly deserved. The words thank you will never convey enough but... Thank You... for everything.  more

Bournes initially organised my parents pre-payment plans, which made the event
so much easier when my Dad passed 3 years ago. Recently, they arranged a service which involved a journey to bring my brother home. On both occasions, the help we have received from everyone has been exemplorary. We have been treated with great kindness & respect & felt that our loved ones have too. The rooms in which we have been able to visit are beautiful, reverant & peaceful. Our grateful thanks to everyone.
