T. Allen Funeral Service, Rochester

Knowing that my father was approaching death, I managed to visit several funeral directors in the local area in advance. I got the best impression from T. Allen in Rochester. Whilst events meant that I had made no arrangement with them by the time it happened, upon my father’s death late into an evening, their out of hours staff were very accommodating of my request for immediate removal. Collection of my father’s body was smooth, prompt, and well-mannered, making his last exit of his home of 46 years as dignified as possible. I was in touch with Ashlie and Michelle who manage the Rochester branch, and also happened to be in contact with the owner-directors; Helen dealt with an issue early-on very respectfully, and Mark attended for the removal and was the conductor for the funeral. It was a pleasure to deal with all of them. They took a sincere interest in the family circumstances and kept those in mind across the five weeks until the funeral. The team were considerate but clear on wh ... at was and wasn’t possible, and very accommodating of special requests; nothing was too much trouble. They were very responsive in communications, and flexible for my sister and I to visit around our schedules and at short notice. The Rochester branch maintains a pleasant environment for viewing, which isn’t tired, nor is the decor overbearing. On getting to know our personalities and wishes, they sourced a life celebrant from their panel who suited our family very well. The team clearly work well together, and they manage to balance running a business with being compassionate rather well. more

Thank you very much for guiding us smoothly through the process of organizing our dad’s funeral.  Your calmness and kind manner at all times was so soothing in our sadness.  We totally appreciated that you could organize everything for us as we wouldn’t have known where to start.  It also helped that you were familiar with working with Dad’s Priest and Church.  Everything went perfectly on the day.  The gentlemen escorting Dad were quietly and respectfully there for all us and what a lovely touch that all the ladies in the office paid their respects as Dad went past on his last journey.  Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  Therese, Noël, Cathy and Matt

Right from the start of the process the Staff could not have been more helpful. If there were any hiccups a phonecall soon sorted it. On the day Mark and his gents were so professional and enabled the whole event to run so smoothly. I will Recommend them to anyone that requires their services. My mother in law is still praising them and so I know who she will want for her own.

From the moment we first stepped into the Office, T.Allen looked after our family so well. They provided all we asked for and the day of the funeral went like clockwork. Every aspect was catered for from water in the limousines to a folder containing the cards which came with our flowers. It was lovely to be attended by Mark Allen on the day and the company arranged for family members to act as pall bearers which was greatly appreciated. The whole day was a fitting tribute to my husband Martin. We could not have asked for a better service.

Everything was very efficiently done with great care.
We felt immediately in good hands and were very well adviced throughout the process of choices from the beginning to the end. Especially Scott did an amazing Job of coming to see me and was leading me through his very excellent experience to a very special and beautiful Service. The drive to the Medway Crematorium through High Street with the Austin Hearse was so very touching and very well organised. Thanks to Donna who did a wonderful leaflet for us.
