The service provided by all the staff was excellent during a difficult time, everything was explained through each stage of the funeral.

Many thanks to all of your staff for a caring and professional service and for helping to make a difficult day run so smoothly. Special thanks to Issey and David, we are so very grateful.

Issey and the staff at Co-Op funeralcare provided an excellent service. Issey helped us organise the day we wanted accomodating all our requests with the minimum of fuss, nothing was too much trouble. Issey stayed in contact with us throughout explaining exactly what was happening every step of the way, answering messages promptly. She took time to ask about my husband and always spoke about him as a person which was comforting when leaving him in her care. Steve and the team on the funeral day were fantastic, giving us the send off we had planned for our loved one. I would highly recommend the team at Co-op funeral care and thank them for their help during such a stressful time.

I was most impressed with Issey from the day that I first spoke to her, the arrangements, follow up emails and phone calls. Always very attentive and professional. Nothing was ever too much trouble. The celebrant recommended was an excellent choice. On the day, Mark and his colleagues made an excellent job of putting our minds at rest.
Coaching us, how to carry the casket.
    Everything was just perfect.
    Thank you so very much.

Absolutely fantastic service provided and cannot fault the staff at all, thier care and sympathy is brilliant, but the Chatham branch is not disable friendly and as an leg amputee I had difficulty going downstairs to see my late mothers body.

Not the greatest of reviews as we didn’t feel we were treated with the care and respect that grieving families should be from such a huge organisation.

We didn’t realise when booking my Mums funeral that we would be dealing with three shops and indeed my Mum would be moved around Medway without our knowledge.

To be ‘chasing’ different people in the hope to get some answers resulted in having to deal with the area manager.

We had no strange or obscure requests but were often told “we are busy” or “care home deaths take priority”

On two occasions we were told my mother was “safe and ok” as she was still at the hospital mortuary, she was hardly safe or ok!! Extremely poor choice of words used by someone who deals with grieving families daily.

We had to wait 3 weeks and 6 days to view my Mum due to the co-op being “busy” After this amount of time clearly she wasn’t as we would of expected. Had the Co-op not of been so “busy” and we hadn’t of been chasing people to arrange a viewing,  I’m sure that our final viewing and goodbye to my Mum may have been less
    Of an ordeal and shock.

Viewing her was in a room that was far too small to be used, I actually had to stand in a corridor to have some distance. The building was clearly in disrepair, there were lightbulbs missing and mould on the ceiling. Why would you allow this is a place where people are viewing their loved ones for the final time?

My Mothers actual funeral went very well and Pauline at the Tunbridge Wells branch,
with whom we had also dealt with was very good but I must say as a family we seriously expected a lot more from such a huge organisation.
I would go so far to say you actually added to the stress of a grieving family…. Not ideal really

From the moment my wife and I spoke to Issy to the day of the funeral, we found the service and the sincerity first class, organised and constantly informed of all processes along the way made this very emotional time bearable, thankyou.

Luckily, Pam and I had purchased two funeral plans in 2008; we didn’t want to burden our family with any unexpected expenses.  We chose the Cooperative because of their ethical stance on investment and fair trade.  The sudden and unexpected loss of my wife was, and still is, the most traumatic and heart wrenching situation I have ever faced. It was of immense relief that Co-op Funeralcare immediately sprung into action and guided me through all that needed to be done.  Without the plan, there would have been much more input needed from me at a time when I was struck with grief. I cannot thank Co-op Funeral care enough for the compassionate way in which they organised my wife’s funeral.
