The staff were excellent from first contact to last, professional, helpful, sympathetic and friendly. Louise, Amanda and Maria did the organisation for us, and John Hawksworth was the funeral director on the day and he and his team did a great job in just the right spirit. Many thanks Co-op Margate.

Lovely kind and caring people who prided themselves on giving us and Norman the best send off. Went above and beyond even when this case went to coroners for a full investigation. Any worries or concerns were addressed immediately. Highly recommended

Excellent, because they know how to communicate and keep people informed. It took a while to get my deceased Mum moved from Suffolk to Kent, but once she arrived there, all arrangements seemed to work perfectly and the day went off faultlessly.
We were especially impressed with the trouble taken over her clothes and make-up -.our final memory of her is one of peace and beauty.
Also, we would comment that the whole thing cost less than we were expecting, even though we did not go for the cheapest option.
Thanks to all involved. We would definitely recommend Co-Op FuneralCare Margate's services to anyone.

The funeral was good. 

However.

The initial meeting did not feel private or personal, a meeting in the reception area was inappropriate (we were on the high street, pedestrians could see through the window and the windows were being cleaned) 

The funeral director interrupted our meeting to talk about a query with a different customer, again not appropriate 

Finally, there must be a more appropriate process for handing over loved ones jewellery and to sign for this directly after a funeral was not ideal

I have received a more detailed form through the post that I will fill and send back to you.
Everything went well with the exception of our initial meeting at the undertakers in Margate.
My father had taken out & paid for a funeral plan in 2015, we are a small family and we put forward a date for the funeral so everyone can attend & we were told that this was possible due to the type of plan that he had purchased.

This caused a lot of upset with my mother, sister & I and a lot of embarrasment with with the staff at the Margate office. If the staff had the power to meet our request it would have been solved in an instance. it took numerous backward & forward phone calls trying to get hold of various people to get this approved. it was deeply upsetting for all concerned.

My next concern is that my monther has the same plan she is very ill with Cancer and I am not sure how long she has left to live I really dont want to go through the same situation & I doubt the staff & your office will want it either.

Can I get get some reassurance that when this time comes we can get the funeral date that suits us rather than the awkward, upsetting, embarrasing situation that we had to endure this time around please?

I must emphasize that John & I'm sorry the ladies name escapes me were very helpful throughout.

Maria was very kind and helpful and made difficult decisions seem easy. We were also kept informed of every change along the way. Kate Crosher was our celebrant and her help and advice during planning was invaluable. She was very attentive, responded quickly and conducted the service with warmth and compassion. John, our funeral director, phoned the day before to go through everything and was discreet and reassuring on the day. One lovely touch: when offered a tip he asked that it be placed in the collection box. We chose an Essential Service as my brother wanted a simple service without fuss but there was no choice of coffin. The basic coffin was very disappointing and this is where they loose a star.

Was not kept upto date on anything . Very poor service .
Took nearly 2 weeks to collect my dad from hospital then over a week and half to get coffin .the person in front off the herse asked me did she live on birchington Vale??? What it's my dad I said ..
So poor in every way

I can't recommend Co-op funeral services Margate highly enough. Everything was made so easy for me. The staff were very kind and caring. They explained every step of the way what was needed and kept in touch regularly. John was so very kind especially. I would definitely use them again if I sadly needed to.
