Stephen and his team were just wonderful. From the moment we rang them to mum's funeral and burial - the service they provided was exemplary. They were professional, kind, understanding, very flexible and of course, reassuring every step of the way. Sam, Pauline and Nataltie really did go the extra mile co-ordinating our mums funeral on quite a limited choice of dates but nothing was too much trouble. The funeral director (forgive me I can't remember his name) on the day and his team were again just lovely and carried our their roles with great professionalism and kindness. I cannot thank you enough for all of your help and support. I would highly recommend the services of Stephen P Gay and his team.

We couldn’t ask for better . Everything ran smoothly from the first meeting . I felt visiting the chapel of rest to say my last goodbye was peaceful . I especially liked how the coffin was presented with the lace cover . The day of the funeral was all conducted perfectly a special thanks to Stephen himself who lead and informed us of everything throughout the day . A thank you to all and totally recommend.

The kindness and consideration of those  who looked after us at every stage was excellent.  John lectured on customer service and this service was exemplary.   The unexpectedly large number attending the funeral, were dealt with diplomatically. A local and privately owned funeral director who was honest, reliable and so helpful.

Stephen P Gay were outstanding, nothing was too much trouble. They guided me through all the various procedures with courtesy and compassion at this difficult time. After the loss of my wife of over 56 years.

Although Stephen P Gay's business is obviously a team effort, I would like to single out Sam for her tremendous help & personalty in getting me over my loss.

My only other experiences of Funeral Directors were when my Mother & my Aunt died in the 1990's. On those occasions, I used a large well known company in South London. In comparison, I would only give them 3 stars whilst Stephen P Gay I would award 5 stars. Therefore, I would recommend a small family firm every time.

Stephen Gay has handled the burials and cremations of all of both mine and my wife's family for many years. They are a local family business. They are sympathetic to their clients needs and carry them out in a very professional way. Whenever the sad need for this service is required I wouldn't look anywhere else.

I’d like to thank all the staff involved in the preparations for my Mum’s funeral. We were listened to with compassion & understanding at all times when speaking with Nathalie & Sam & on the day. We were happy with the celebrant chosen for us & she did a good job in steering us through the process of getting the information needed to write the eulogy, she also showed compassion. We felt that we needed more guidance about the arrangements & it was a lot  to take in during the initial meeting but with a second meeting we were able to get all the answers to our questions & things became clearer. We weren’t rushed at any time whilst making decisions. On the day the team were very respectful & guided us through the service with professionalism. The day went smoothly so thank you.

From the first phone call with Sam, our meeting with Nathalie, numerous questions to Pauline and David and his team on the day of the funeral, not to mention the staff behind the scenes, Stephen P Gay were so compassionate towards our family. They understood our needs that we wanted to give my late husband the best send off we could and made sure every detail we requested was dealt with great care. Their personal touch, respect and professionalism were impeccable. 
We thank the team for making, what is the most saddest of days an easier day to get through 💙💙.
