I highly recommend Chittenden Funeral Care in Hythe. . They provided an excellent service and looked after my Dad. Vanessa supported myself and my family during this difficult time and that personal interaction comforted us greatly.

Jane, Vanessa and the team are amazing! They were so kind and helpful through the whole process and made it smoother than I thought possible! Jane went above and beyond to help us liaise with the church to ensure that my mum’s wish to be buried at the same church as her family was granted. Vanessa was there on the day to make sure that everything went through without a hitch and talked us through everything and was very patient! The coffin is also beautiful and there was a lot of choice.
I would really recommend Chattertons to everyone in the area. Thank you guys!

This was the first funeral that I had to organise, from the very beginning I was gently taken through each step of the process. Vanessa kept in regular contact and was always there to answer any questions or make useful suggestions. We were only able to visit the Funeral Home on Saturdays but this was not a problem. On the day of the funeral everything went smoothly and my Dad was given a good send off. I will definitely use Chittenden's again and would certainly recommend them.

I would like to thank everybody at Chittendens in Hythe. I cannot even begin to explain how brilliant they all are. I dealt mostly with Tom and Vanessa and they made the worst experience of my life bearable. Vanessa, in particular is so professional and full of empathy. She held our hand throughout the whole process and helped us with our choices when we couldn’t see past our grief. 
I would 100% recommend Chittendens in Hythe to everyone.

I can't begin to say how accommodating and understanding all the staff were regarding our mums passing and all the necessary details that followed. We as a family always felt involved and listened to and nothing was to much trouble we thank all involved in this sad time.

Chittenden Funeralcare provided reasonably priced funeral services for my dad that were excellent from start to finish. The staff were informative, competent, sensitive and demonstrated very good attention to detail. Their approach inspired me with confidence that the funeral would go well. I would thoroughly recommend Chittenden Funeralcare!

Excellent service, especially in the light of poor communications from the solicitors. Jane and Vanessa were extremely helpful and considerate, and Tom was also very good to talk to.
In the end, I managed to get the Direct Funeral expense to be paid for out of Phil's account, as the solicitor had not any funds in their account. I had sorted all of Phil's banking and investments, paid for the death certificates and handed it all to them.
Alas, the young lady who is 'on the case', ignored all that I had done, has not re-directed the mail or contacted any of his banks. It took me 20 minutes to arrange the payment for the funeral, as the bank had not had had any communications from the solicitors as regards taking over the account in the light of them being executors and trustees. They are just money grabbing leeches and that is the politest expression that I can say about their working practice! The person dealing with the 'case' only works a couple of days a week, it appears, and was taking annual leave from the 17/12 to the 04/01, after which I believe she said that she would be taking maternity leave and passing it over to someone else!
They are nothing but licenced bandits! Happy New Year!
