I couldn’t thank John Weir (Ben & Amanda) for all they did for my little boy. They went above and beyond to care for him, and me. Markus was with them for a fairly long time before the funeral, and they cared for him in a way I forever owe them for. I loved how they made sure his music was playing for him, how they tucked him in at night and said good night to him, and loved seeing how cared for he was (included his endless amounts of toys). 

From the moment Ben met with me, to the moment we said good bye to Markus they did nothing but the best. 

I also appreciate that markus died shortly after Christmas, and lots of funeral directors were either turning me down or saying they’ll collect Markus but will not speak to me until after the new year. I was appalled! Until I spoke to Amanda on the phone, who quickly sorted out a meeting for me, and they listened to what I wanted and didn’t even suggest to take Markus away from me until I was ready.

The ... y just made that unimaginable situation that little bit easier for me. more

Amanda was very helpful and kind from the very first phone call. On meeting Amanda she listened to our requirements and enabled a wonderful service for our much loved Dad, which included arranging the perfect Humanist.

Shane and his team on the day were very kind and compassionate, even giving each lady in the limousine a rose from the tribute flowers.

Something that was never going to be easy, was made easier thanks to the time, care and help from John Weir, who we also used for our Mums funeral 11 years ago.

An excellent professional service again. The staff are very friendly & helpful in walking you through the organizing. The Speaker helped us remember bits & pieces for Mum's Eulogy & the Order of Service was very well produced & lovely. The Funeral itself was excellent too with the Pallbearers guiding us through everything as needed.
Sadly it was the second time in the last few years I've needed their services, but once again I was extremely impressed with everyone involved in helping me organise my Mothers Funeral & would highly recommend John Weir Funeral Directors.

Amanda and her team in Chatham were amazing, 9 months ago my Mum died and we used a different funeral director. When my Dad passed away last month we decided this time to go to John Weir. The difference in the level of care, compassion, professionalism  and attention to detail was remarkable. Amanda introduced us to a celebrant, Kathyn, who conducted the service, she was the perfect choice. 
I can’t recommend John Weir highly enough. Thank you.

We could not have wished for more. John Weir were incredibly professional and empathetic from the initial and subsequent meeting with Ben at the Chatham office, through to Amanda confirming all our requirements the day before the funeral , and the kindness and attention to detail shown by Shane and his team on the day. Ben, you were a tremendous support, and we are so grateful to you for how you helped us navigate the detail. Thanks must also go to our celebrant Peter Tongue for all his advice and support with the eulogy. In the nicest possible way, I would hope not to personally have to use the services of John Weir again but if the situation arose, I would have no hesitation.
