The customer service received from The Co-op Funeralcare Stevenage was outstanding from start to finish.


I knew from my very first call with Susannah Osbourne seeking information prior to losing my Aunt, that I would be contacting her again when the time came and didn’t even bother to call the other two companies on my list. Susannah is the consummate professional - clear, concise, knowledgeable, reassuring, comforting and if she says she’s going to do something, she does it! Communication between her and the other Team members ensured that we didn’t need to worry about things being missed and being the main organiser, I felt supported throughout, with regular updates by email or phone, great advice and encouragement to create the send-off we so dearly wanted for our loved one.
Even when Susannah had to make the worst call you would want to deliver to a grieving family the Friday before a Wednesday funeral (i.e. a call from the Cemetery that day to say due to a historic mistake regarding the plot the funeral couldn’t proceed), she made sure she called me personally, calmly broke the news, stayed with me on the phone while I tried to quickly process it, reassured me that they would be with me every step of the way in trying to resolve it and discussed next steps. The stress was unbearable but Susannah made sure her words were backed up by actions - we would hold off from cancelling the funeral until the Monday to see if things could be resolved and the next call I received straight after was from Lottie at Regional Office, who absolutely reassured me that I had their full support. Susannah then went above and beyond to check in on me over that weekend, which was an absolute Godsend.
Thankfully, matters were resolved at the Cemetery by Monday afternoon, so Susannah’s decision not to cancel anything was absolutely the right decision and in fact helped us as a family not to lose hope over that weekend of it going ahead as planned. Nothing was too much trouble - for example, a personal request for female only support when I dressed my Aunt was met with no questions and Faye & Shannon were both so kind and considerate and allowed me the space to do this one last thing for her. Matt, Dave & the boys did us proud on the day itself and as I told Matt, he was definitely the right man for the job and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the beautiful send-off that he led - from us leaving the funeral home right to the graveside, he showed the utmost care and respect for my Aunt and us as a family.
No compromises were made and the little touches along the way meant so much to me and the rest of the family. Without a shadow of a doubt, I made the right decision choosing Stevenage Funeralcare and would not hesitate in using them again in the future as I know we gave my beloved Aunt the best send-off possible.
To Susannah and the whole Team, from the bottom of my heart, Thank You; I will be forever grateful for everything you did.

Would certainly recommend COOP funeral services from the ease of arranging for mum being collected to the bringing us home after the service  we were treated with care , respect and kindness . A small issue with the coffin but the team sorted it and came through on the day . My mum would have been happy with everything .

What an absolutely excellent service this company has just provided. The staff have been amazing they are 11 out of 10. They were kind, caring and patient and knowledgable of  role they played.
