Liz Buccanan was the lady who helped me every step of the way, she went, in my opinion, above and beyond help, not once did she make me feel I should 'hurry up' with any decision I had to make, truly exceptional person, if you need anyone to be so caring non judgemental Liz is your lady.

I can't fault J. Worley. They organised and conducted my mother's funeral with quiet, friendly and sympathetic efficiency. They explained everything clearly, helped us to make the right decisions and kept us informed at every stage. On the day, the timing was precise, but relaxed, and we were gently guided through the funeral. One hears scare stories about the cost of funerals and no one wants to talk about the cost or appear to be going for a cut-price option, but I thought their prices were very reasonable. I heartily recommend them.

I have had no experience of dealing with funeral arrangemnts in this locality.
Following my husband's unexpected passing, my brother and I selected Worley
as the undertaker as, from the website information, it seemed closest in character to the family undertaker we have used for our bereavements in Cumbria. The team at Worley have surpassed my expectations, with the level and quality of their service, the sensitivity of the their firm's people to the trauma of family bereavement and the clarity of their communications. The professionalism, the courtesy and the understanding extended is much appreciated at this terrible time in our family life, all further complicated by the difficulties presented by the pandemic. I am pleased to recommend them.

Recently my dad passed, and seeing as I had the kids I phoned the first funeral directors I could find which happened to be J Worley, the service received was outstanding and couldnt thank pam or liz enough for all there support during a hard time. Due to covid there is alot of restrictions in place which is hard enough but the fact they also have to turn around and say no to things isn't easy however the professionalism from all at J Worleys was very appreciated thank you again to pam and liz also the guys who turnt up on the day.

Excellent friendly and efficient service. Everything was spot on.
They were in contact throughout the whole process and kept us well informed of the procedures in place due to Covid restrictions both prior to and on the day of the funeral.

Everyone from Worley's have been so helpful!

It's such a difficult time losing someone so close but to have the added pressure of the pandemic makes it even more difficult.
The usual face to face meeting and limited numbers etc.. but I can only give credit and say thank you to you all.
Everyone was so well organised and nothing was too much trouble.

Magda was one amazing lady, she called me her little Niece! She talked about Worley's quite often and wanted to arrange her own funeral but wanted to be able to talk to Mr.Worley to see if he remembered working at the co-op with her husband Nandor together.. many years ago!

It didn't happen but the fact Mr Worley did mention to one of the ladies working in the office that he did remembered him!

She really will be sadly missed but her passing couldn't have been more peaceful, at home, no pain, with me and another neighbour holding her throughout her journey.
Thank you Mr Worley and to everybody that works at your company. It's given me great solace knowing Magda is now at peace with Nandor and son Steven.

We were not prepared for Mum’s Death, so when it came, we were a bit lost on what to do.  We called J. Worley on that Sunday morning, because they are a long established local firm.  
From the first telephone call to them, they took care of maters for us, and in particular my Mum.  They were sensitive and respectful in carrying out their work.

They kept us well informed at every stage, and with their connections, helped to make the Funeral Service and burial go smoothly.

We are very happy that J. Worley managed to offer great and sensitive service during the challenges of COVID restrictions.
