Beavis delivered an excellent, caring service for my mother’s cremation. They had also looked after my father’s funeral seven years ago and I was happy to use them again.

Everyone we dealt with was lovely. However despite them receiving Dad on 26/12 we were not able to see him until 19/01 the day before his funeral. This was apparently due to them being very busy and because the computers were down for days and they did not know where Dad was ! As it was my mother, a frail 91 year old was only able to see him once and had 2 stressful days together.

I would have given 5 stars but it took several days to actually get hold of Beavis in Shirley following my father's death in the early hours of Saturday morning. It was distressing for the family not knowing where my father was.

After contact was made the service was excellent and couldn't be faulted.

All mums wishes were carried out on the day, making mums farewell send off even more special. As we had requested a Christmas theme they had decorated the Hurst with tinsel and fairy lights which added to making a sad occasion more special. They even offered to dress in green and red ties. As we always lived so close to the Crematorium growing up, mum had always said she wanted a ride around the Block, they granted that wish. We As a family were so grateful to Darren at Beavis . I have used this Funeral home before and have always been happy with the support and help they provide.

It was very daunting to suddenly be faced with the unexpected death of my sister.   However, the moment I spoke with Darren Taylor of Beavis Funeralcare, Shirley, I felt  immediately at ease.  He talked me through all the funeral plans and options and I was able to peruse these at my leisure.  Everything was priced so there would be no surprises.  The result was I was able to devise a funeral totally personal to my sister from coffin choice to what might be placed inside with my sister, to flowers, to music and to the celebrant who was so empathetic and worked closely with me to prepare the service.  I was able to have the service webcast for absent  family and friends both  here and abroad.  The result was a relaxed process and a lovely send-off for my sister.
I cannot praise Beavis Funeralcare enough for their empathic approach, their efficiency, and their professionalism  from beginning to end.  I highly  recommend them.
