The communication was much better for my dad - compared to my mum who died 7 weeks previously. 
I still think everything takes too long. My dad died Tuesday 8th March, he wasn’t collected until Friday 11th March and wasn’t cremated until Monday 21st March. Seems such a long time! 
When my brother collected the ashes from the Test Valley crematorium they found the person extremely awkward and argumentative. Which was unnecessary at this terrible time.

We were very pleased with the organisation and planning of my father's funeral, and with the execution on the day.

We had one or two problems contacting the local office as they were obviously short of staff, but were very happy with personal service.

The Orders of Service were excellent and the flowers were beautiful.

The funeral director stepped in at the last minute to cover for a sick colleague and supplied a seamless service. She and the drivers and pall-bearers were friendly, polite and respectful.

Our celebrant and he was very pleasant to deal with and did his best to accommodate as many of our requests as he could. He struggled, as did we, with the 30-minute slot we were allowed at Bournemouth Crematorium which left us with only 20 minutes for the formal part of the proceedings. (This is obviously not the fault of the Co-op Funeralcare.) Twenty minutes is not enough, and it was disappointing that some parts of the planned service had to be cut short or even omitted. We were told that we had a very limited time for the eulogy and tributes, but it is not possible to hurry through them when you are overcome by emotion,
however much you have practised beforehand.

In conclusion, we were very pleased with Co-op Funeralcare.

At a difficult time the service provided was caring and easy.  Jo in the Ringwood office made it all simple so we didn’t have to worry.  Also, when Jo was off, Head office managed everything really well seemless continuity thank you.
