At Rowlands the staff are helpful and knowledgeable. They are able to guide you through the formalities when a death has occurred, with compassion and practical advice.

There are numerous tasks one has to do before the Funeral of 'your loved one can take place'. Rowlands staff are happy to advise you on the correct order of things that need to be done, so that you can obtain the Death Certificate from the relevant GP/Surgery and start looking at a date for a Funeral Service.

They are willing to guide you through choosing a coffin or a headstone without any pressure.

They are kind, caring people who can help you achieve the service the 'deceased' has already pre-planned or they can give you guidance so that with their support, you can make the arrangements with your family, at a date and time to suit those mourners who have to travel a distance to attend the Funeral of the departed.

The whole team at Rowlands were superb. For what is a tricky time for anyone they managed the necessary arrangements with efficiency, dignity and the utmost care. I cannot speak highly enough of Charlotte, Marsha and the rest of the team. Charlotte was our main contact and really looked after us, helping to resolve all sorts of issues that were well outside her role. Marsha then rearranged her life to accommodate our need for a Saturday funeral. The whole day went perfectly and this was mainly down to the amazing work that they did. Kind, compassionate and efficient - I would heartily recommend them.

Rowland’s gave superb service from start to finish: Marsha, Charlotte and Owen are a fantastic team. We used the Rowland’s Room for a simple but memorable family get-together.  Marsha gave us access to the room for a couple of hours the day before the funeral, enabling us to arrange it with masses of  flowers and a display of memorable objects to create  a really personal atmosphere.  The entrance to the Rowland room is via a courtyard framed by a collection of quaint old buildings edged with masses of flowering plants, which  provided a very intimate and calming setting. Marsha organised for us to have simple refreshments at the end of our tributes,  further enhancing the feeling of a shared, and very significant, family experience. Highly recommended!
