They have a lovely, caring team at Risca, who will do anything they can for you.
Nothing is too much trouble.
Arranging mum's funeral, through this office, was made a lot easier because of their kindness, professionalism and support.
I would definitely recommend.

First of all it took six hours for my wife's body to be collected from the Claremont Care Home and it took me a week after that to get confirmation as to where she
had been taken to. After the initial meeting at the Risca office to inform the representative my requirements for the funeral when i was assured i would be keep up to date with the progress of the various things i heard nothing until i phoned the office a week later when it seemed there had been some breakdown in communication between staff. After that, things seem to get better but it was
not the experience wanted by an 85 year old having just lost his wife.

The whole planning process was made easier due to the empathetic nature of the funeral directors. They were very efficient and organised whilst showing great care and dignity towards my late mother. On the day of the funeral everything was perfect. I cannot thank them enough.

The advice we had about planning the funeral was excellent. We were given lots of choice and never felt pressured into having more expensive options. We were kept up to date on the progress and always included before decisions were made. On the actual day of the funeral the staff were polite, respectful and made me feel as though we had done the best for my mum.

The Risca team have been extremely helpful throughout  A special thank you to Lauren for providing excellent service every step of the way during her dealing with my late mother’s funeral.  She was consistently helpful and pleasant and made the arrangements diligently with care and kindness.  Nothing was too much trouble for her, and as a family, are very grateful.

The Co-Op at Pontymister were amazing throughout our whole experience planning mum’s funeral. They were kind, patient and considerate, and provided just the right amount of support on the day without being intrusive.  We didn’t want a conventional funeral, and they respected our choices, enabling us to have something that was personal and reflected mum’s wishes. I will be eternally grateful for the deeply personal, quiet funeral we had which arguably felt more like the deceased than any funeral I’ve been too. The willow casket was beautiful, with a simple arrangement of woodland flowers and our choice of music. All the staff at Risca were lovely and nothing was too much trouble, and Andrew the funeral director even phoned me the day after the service to check I was okay. The Risca branch (or Baulches as it still known by many locals) also took care of my grandparents funeral, which were also lovely If not more traditional. I can’t imagine being in such good care elsewhere. Thank you for helping us all at a very difficult time.
