In general the whole service was great and I believe my mum was in very good care.
The ladies in the office are very friendly and reassuring at such a difficult times. Due to staff sickness however I was not informed of when my mum was in your care. I had to ring. The lady who was covering the phones for a number of branches was not going to up date me and asked to ring back on Monday. I did insist however I'd like to know were my mum was at that current time and the lasy was very helpful and updated me.
Staff sickness cannot be helped.
The order of service was forgotten on the day. An apology was made and the staff rectified the situation.
Maybe a bit more instructions to the barers would be more helpful. The barers said that the instructions were very brief. As a result they nearly dropped my mum. Which was a little upsetting at the time.
Even with the minor hiccups the service went well.

All of the staff at Abbey Leigh were amazing from the moment I walked through the door. Very caring and professional and made a very distressing time a little easier. Absolutely went above and beyond to ensure everything went smoothly with no problems.

Abbey booked and confirmed the church before checking the date was
Acceptable to us.
There was an incident whilst placing the coffin in the hearse where the coffin was nearly dropped. Then at the cemetery the coffin was nearly vertical when placing in the grave.
Finally we received the invoice which stated that the invoice had a
payment date of 22/01/1800

A very caring group of people make up this company. We had opted for direct cremation and we're given the same car and patience as for a public burial or cremation. All processes explained and questions answered. Thank you

Overall we were very happy with the service provided.
On the day of mums funeral everything went as mum wanted it too. 

But with the organising of mums funeral there seemed to be a lot of going over things twice, mum did her plan at home stating what she wanted. Then when we went into the leigh branch to arrange mums funeral we had to go through the whole plan again. Adding things that had been missed off mums original plan. 
Mum had asked for a poppy scatter tube for her ashes and two desperate pouches for myself and my brother to scatter separately.

When we went to collect mum she was in a green cardboard box and no pouches. We told Alison that this isn't what we should be collecting. 
We then had to look through a brochure to find the poppy tube..and take mum home while we waited for the correct box to be delivered. 
All upsetting to collect mum but to then have to start looking in brochures to find what should have already been ordered was unprofessional.

I must add that the service we received from Pamela in the Leigh branch was very caring and supportive.

Overall very happy but a few things we found could be improved on.

Happy with everything.
Was disappointed that the Leigh Local Branch on Chapel Street did not have admin available towards run up to my dads funeral due to staff shortages, some relatives had difficulties making appointments as telephone was not diverted as promised.
