Dad decided he wanted to have a no fuss funeral and asked me to organise this for him. I had no hesitation but to contact the Co-Op because this had been a service both my dad’s parents had used.
After the first call I made, Dad received the Co-Op Funeral Service brochure, this gave him the information he needed to inform the rest of the family and friends of his wishes.
On Dad’s Passing I contacted our local Co-Op funeral service Hardman & McManus Funeralcare to make the necessary arrangements. This was a difficult time for me, our family, and Dads friends. My first experience with the service provider on Dad’s behalf has been professional, considerate, contactable, and honest throughout the whole process. I would 100% recommend the Hardman & McManus Funeralcare based on Michelle’s customer care service and her professionalism.

Right from the start when we walked in, not knowing what to do, the help and communication was excellent. Michelle helped us a lot and she was very kind and considerate throughout with helpful, professional advice. The contact at every step of the way to keep us informed was very good.

Andy and the other staff who were involved in Mum's care were professional and kind too, which meant a lot to the family.

Mum's wishes were carried out as she wanted and I think she would have been happy.

The service from Hardmans made an emotional process more bearable.

This is the second time that I and my family have used Hardman & McManus and I would most certainly use them again. Their kindness and compassion are evident from the moment you contact them, and this is of great help during such a sad time. Michelle who worked in the office explained every option available for my mother’s funeral, made sure that all costs were made clear, and gave us advice on how things would be handled right up to the funeral itself.

On the day of the funeral, the team, led by Victoria made sure that everything ran smoothly – guiding us through every step of the day. Throughout they were respectful and professional but with a touch of personal warmth that was a great comfort. I would also like to mention our driver, Thalia who looked after us on the journey to the crematorium and brought us back to the house afterwards.

I was called by Michelle the day after, in order to make sure that everything had gone to plan and that I was happy with the service. I can truly say that I was and would like to say a big thank you to all of their staff for making such a difficult time easier to get through.

Michelle was my first contact at hardmans & McManus funeral home Bolton. I didn’t have an appointment prior to my visitation but instead of her to turn me back, she listened to me, attended to me and finally booked an appointment for me to return and discuss my mums funeral and cost. Michelle didn’t treat me like a client, she treated me like her own child. She was empathetic, caring and was always looking out for me. I’m so glad I followed my instinct and went to hardmans and McManus. It was such a great and splendid experience. If I could give 10 stars for the brilliant service offered, I would.
