My two sons and I recently had to choose a funeral director to to arrange my wife's funeral.We had no idea who to choose,so took a chance on a independent person Ian George..Were we lucky ...Ian came along and put our minds at ease.He did what was necessary immediately and then visited my house on several occasions to help us through what was a very distressing and confusing situation we had been thrown into.He helped and advised us throughout to organise a very personal and fitting farewell for my wife.He guided us through compiling a wonderful order of service and obtaining a marvellous Celebrant.. Marie who put the whole jigsaw together to piece together our ideas and wishes and add her own meaningful sentiments to give my Beautiful wife and mother the send off she deserved ..We can't thank them enough.

Everyone at the funeral directors were polite and kept in contact all the time even though I don't live in the UK. Everything went as planned with no problems.

I’m so pleased to have used their services for my darling husband’s funeral. Ian was on hand to provide a personal touch but I was also impressed with the level of professionalism shown throughout. Whilst it is always good to support a local family business I have to say it was not at the mercy of quality of service and value for money; they outperformed a well known national company I have used previously on both counts. Ian George funeral services are a wonderful family run funeral directors. From the very first phone call we felt listened to and understood. Ian and Danesha treated us with compassion and love, nothing was a problem for them and they helped us say goodbye to our Mum with professionalism and true dignity, with a sincere and heartfelt service. We are so pleased we found them, they are truly lovely people.

From start to finish we felt totally relaxed with Ian and his team, it was a traumatic time for us all however Ian and his team took us through everything with care and understanding. Ian also did our service and everyone including family In Australia who watched it by live link all commented on how good he was.

I couldn’t recommend Ian George and his team enough, a professional class act who we will always remember and be indebted to.

Ian and Danesha provided kind and efficient support when our mother passed away and were not daunted at the idea of her funeral taking place 250 miles away in the town where she was born. Everything went well in spite of the distance involved and dealing with an unfamiliar location, church, cemetery and local council. Mum had the funeral she wanted and we are grateful for that.

The family and I received a good and caring service throughout a very difficult time. All was done with sympathy, sensitivity and understanding from the very beginning with the first meeting for discussion of our expectations. Nothing was left to chance and everything ran smoothly as arranged by the funereal director. This included finding and coordinating with everyone to fix a date for the funeral – collection of the deceased, availability of church and minister, burial and cemetery permissions, grave preparation, obituary notice, order of service preparation and printing, coffin details, and finally placement of flowers, arrival of the hearse, provision of pallbearers and the internment.

From the beginning Ian George was professional and considerate, making sure our every request was carried out as we wished. He took time to get to know about John from his family and to acknowledge his many achievements during his life making the service truly a dignified end and a fitting tribute.
