I cannot fault the help and consideration given by all members of staff at James Summers. They all went above and beyond their duty to help and comfort a 91 year old man who had lost his wife of 69 years. I have no hesitation is saying that no organisation could have done a better job. They were superb at all levels.

Lauren Oatley has been fantastic from start to finish. Lauren was fantastic at keeping us updatedand informing us of our range of options without putting any pressure on us to make decisions quickly. Lauren has been available throughout and if busy on another service would always call back as soon as she got the chance. Everything Nan wanted, Lauren made sure happened without any difficulty. Could not have been happier with the service provided and will never go anywhere else now.

I can only speak very highly of the way everything was handled,it was a very hard time for my children and I but everybody made us feel comfortable in the organisation of the funeral etc

Disgusting . Mum left in morgue a week. Wrong date birth put in echo and no stating when funeral. Waited a week for a call for monumental . Disgusting never use again. Disgusting

I found the communication very poor. At a very stressful time, I was chasing answers, or being told to sort things like the Stone Mason, less than 48hrs before the funeral. Only to be told by them, that this should have been sorted by yourselves.
Also, on the day of the funeral, I had no idea of any of the procedures. Your colleague told be she had called me the day before to discuss this. However, as she left no voice mail, I had no idea she had called. She then called at 11.30am on the day of the funeral, which, as you can imagine, I was very busy at that time and missed her call.
In addition to all this, your cars arrived at 12.20, and as the funeral was 12.45 the whole procedure was rushed. This was not the experience I was expecting. I even had to enter the Chapel on my own, as your colleague would not wait for my sister.

My family and I were very well supported by the team at Summer Funeral Home in Roath Cardiff. The arrangements were made more challenging because I live in London and had to work with the team virtually. They could not have done more to help overcome this, and whilst my Mum had a very small and private service, the support and guidance that we received would have been the same had the service seen a congregation of 100 plus. My family has used James Summers for over 50 years and I thoroughly recommend them.

We received a professional but caring service for my Father's funeral arrangements despite the funeral home being busy and full at the time. James Summers has a lovely building for this role. Liaison with the minister for the service was well organised as were the printing of the order of service. On the day of the funeral the procession and crematorium service went very well with all requests for tunes for hymns etc being followed. The team undertaking this role were also very professional and caring.

This was a cremation only funeral. No service took place, but James Summers were very helpful and respectful when we visited to pick up belongings.

David Williams, the Funeral Director at Summers in Cardiff, was very professional and had a caring attitude. We were kept up to date at all stages of the funeral. Staff were kind, sensitive and helpful. Clear instructions were given with regards to uploading music and photos that we wanted at the service. Costs were made clear. A dignified and well organised funeral.
