Up to the actual funeral I would have said that the experience was very good. However, when I and my brother saw the hearse without the family flowers, have to say I was very upset as was my brother. Mum loved flowers and we as a family wanted the hearse to be festooned with them. It really wasn't the same seeing them at the crematorium. I did receive an apology on the day at the crematorium from Lee. Problem was the damage was done at that point. The hearse travelled from Leven to Kirkcaldy with scant flowers which shouldn't have even been on the hearse. The flowers that were at he crematorium should have been on the hearse. At the wake a number of the family members were upset at this.. too late to get a second chance. Also, I initially dealt with Nicola who was I believe my funeral co-ordinator. She appeared to be replaced by Laura who was very engaging but didn't inspire me with confidence as it was clear she hadn't read my emails with the instructions for Mum's service. I had to go through these a number of times and when I went through the arrangements before the funeral with Lee, I got a sense that had I not mentioned the hearse going past the house that it may not have. Unfortunately, over the past 3 years I have had to organise 4 funerals, 3 have been with the Co-op. 2 were excellent and this one, my Mum's was okay but had too many oversights to give me a sense of satisfaction

I have only praise for the professional manner that the funeral home dealt with my fathers journey when passing away. Sam Morgan, the Funeral Director was from the first day a caring, respectful and attentive individual who instantly gained the respect and trust from the family when my beloved father was taken in to the funeral homes care. The care and attention to detail when the family were dealing with the grief of a loved ones passing was testimony to Sam and the Team at the COOP Funeral homes due care and attention to ensure that my fathers journey to his place of rest was done with dignity. I must also must mention that, Sam's recommendation to have Craig Adamson conducted the service was one that the family appreciated, as the service was so touching and personal that my family and I were proud that we had so many professional people around us to assist in our time of mourning and grieving.

A truly professional service by caring individuals, that I would recommend to anyone who has a loved one that they would like to be cared for from the passing to committal.

    God Bless you all.

For my mothers funeral we were guided through the process by Nicola Easton who dealt with all the arrangements in a very professional manner. The whole process went smoothly and the arrangements went according to plan leaving the family with nothing to worry about on the day.

took care of everything really good

  • 4 Claire Bell 4th Jan 2022

Overall good service.  Didn’t hand out all the orders of service at the church so there was a full box left and only half of the attendees got one - which was a waste of money.  Also had to email and phone on a couple of occasions chase things up which is not up to scratch or the service I’ve experienced previously with co-op funeral care which is the reason I was a repeat customer. Likely depends on who your Funeral Arranger is.  Service received was acceptable but  just not as polished as previous.

A fabulous service from start to finish . They made everything so easy and worry free. The staff were great and kept in touch regularly (Nicola and Sam) . The first funeral I've ever had to organize and I can't thank them enough.

Cannot rate Sam highly enough for the understanding and organisation of my brothers funeral.  Every detail taken care off  along with a post funeral call which was much appreciated.
