We received excellent care and service before during and after the Funeral for my Dad in Kirkcaldy. Rita and Sam were very helpful indeed, our arrangements went exactly as we planned which enabled us to give Davie a fitting send off.

I will start on a positive note, the funeral, on the day, was perfect and everything went smoothly, thank you. I have arranged many funerals over the years, which were all arranged and finalised within a day or two at the most. This is the first time I have used the Co-op and was very disappointed with the service received:
* the wrong name at the initial Friday morning meeting;
* having to wait over the weekend for a date and time after being told I would receive a call later than day;
* having to phone numerous times on the Monday afternoon to get the date;
* emails apparently sent on Monday but not received by myself or the minister;
* first date was not convenient, I requested after 12 due to people having to travel a distance but had been booked for  9.30, then had to wait a further two days for the next available slot;
* announcement was put in the paper without me approving copy – I approved on the Thursday over the telephone but I discovered through a relative that it was online and it had been put in the previous day and I was therefore unable to get a copy of the paper;
* it took 3 or 4 attempts to get the music in the correct order, finally sorted by another member of staff the Monday prior to the funeral.

A mix up on from your head office who had used my sisters plan for my mother's funeral in 2019. Although their names were the same, it was obvious that a 94 year old lady was not my sister. No one trusted us and we had to prove that my sister had actually died, by submitting her death certificate. Tactless to say the least. Also a mix up in the newspaper advert which stated that the funeral was on the 14th February when my sister died on the 23rd February. Other than that the staff were very helpful.
