We had a few issues with Mum's rest period due to the GP but after speaking to the Manager these were resolved very quickly. I would like to have it noted that Debbie who works in the Wickford branch is an absolute credit to the company and made a very difficult time as easy as possible. She showed complete care, understanding and a willing to go the extra mile for my Dad. She is a treasure.

We had to go in and see the Funeral Director the day after our dad died as it was the only chance we had. So we were feeling very raw. Sarah was able to see us straightaway. She found the records for our mum's funeral easily which was helpful as we wanted to have some of the same things for dad. Sarah was kind, patient and gave us good advice. Over the course of the time from booking right through to the day, we spoke to a number of other staff and they were all very kind and very efficient. The day itself went perfectly. We could not have been happier with how the Co op handled our special event.

I would like to personal thank everyone at the Co-op funeral directors in Wickford, for all their care and compassion they gave to myself and my family. They talked us and helped us through each stage of my late father's funeral, we had plenty of time to visit our Dad in the chapel of rest, they even made our Mum a cup of tea. Dad's funeral went very smoothly and nothing was to much trouble, they even help us by taking mum in their car across to the church hall as she was struggling to walk.

The family were not impressed when we were told the coffin might have to wheeled in instead of carried. Also I mentioned I could have taken my Dad's slippers along with his clothes he was to be dressed in. The member of staff said that would be a good idea as it was cold and she could have worn them to keep warm. Hopefully she was joking but we found it very disrespectful.
