I was very happy with the way my husbands funeral was dealt with, the lovely lady, Lynne Love, talked us through everything and was so kind, she made a very sad and tough time for us so much easier. The day was just perfect and everything I asked for was in place.

I was very happy with the service provided by Grays. Paul, took my booking, and helped me a lot, he had patience, and advised me of different options available, understanding the choices already chosen, recommending a Celebrant, Liz, who was ideal, perfect. Lynn the regular funeral arranger kept in touch, also advising the Funeral Director Emma would phone, to advise times and arrangements for the day.
Everything the team managed went well, there was only one problem the Crem had double booked earlier that day so there was a slight delay, no drama's, so a couple of us remained in the car, as it was cold. Really Satisfied, with excellent feedback from family and friends attending.

I would have given 5 stars but they were late turning up and had to phone the office for reassurance.

I was almost put off when I first contacted the Co-op, I thought I had been put through to an Indian call centre where the operator spoke poor English and did not really appear have much empathy at a time of great sorrow.

However I have used the Coop before and stuck with them but a new customer would probably go elsewhere.

The service is very good and would use again but it could be much better especially at the point of contact.

Can’t thank Lynne enough for all her help with my mum’s funeral. We really didn’t know where to start and she guided us through every step, even sorted out the useless doctor who hadn’t done the death certificate. Would highly recommend the Co-Op and Lynne for all the care and attention to every detail, the whole process was made so easy. Thank you!

I’ve never been involved in organising a funeral let alone arranging one. This funeral was arranged very quickly and the help, advice, compassion & comfort both my husband Mark & I received from everyone at Co-op Funeralcare was exceptional. I know my brother’s funeral was initiated at Grays but Violet at your South Ockendon branch was so helpful and caring - nothing was too much for her. She’s a credit to Co-op Funeralcare. Emma at Grays is also worthy of a mention as she contacted me prior to the day of the funeral to check all arrangements and talked me through what would happen on the day step by step and, like Violet, was extremely helpful, compassionate and caring. Thank you Violet and Emma for making a very anxious person’s first funeral organising a good experience. I would also like to add that I have been told by my brother’s friends and our family that the funeral I organised I did my brother proud - it’s been such an emotional rollercoaster!

From the first phone call the whole process of arranging the funeral was made a much easier less stressful process. The staff were understanding knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. The day of the funeral was also conducted with reverence everything at our pace. A process which is very difficult was made so much easier by the Grays branch for which we thank them.

Lynn was very considerate and helpful in sorting out the funeral arrangements, nothing was too much trouble and stayed in touch. Emma contacted me the day before to check the arrangements and lead the funeral on the day, very calm, professional and dignified.   Would recommend to anyone

Lynn and all the team at the Coop funeral home, Grays, have been amazing, they have made a very hard difficult time so much easier to deal with.

However the service I received from the head office has been dreadful, I will he following this up with an official complaint.

From start to finish the co op funeral care at grays was exceptional.
Lynne arranged everything and the day went like clockwork and I cannot rate them highly enough
