After the first contact with Sharon everything was dealt with compassionately and professionally. During this coronavirus lockdown I expected things to be difficult, they were'nt. My mother in law had a lovely wee send off. Porteous are a wonderful company to deal with. Thank you for everything.

I cannot thank Grant, Lesley-Ann, Sharon and the team for all their support they provided in mum’s funeral and their efficiency throughout mum and dad’s funeral that they conducted only a year earlier.  Words cannot describe our gratitude to them all.

A bespoke service, all the team were both competent and kind. At such a bleak time, we were made to feel at ease and time was taken to ensure that all our needs were met and that all our family's relatives and friends knew themselves to be included and entirely welcomed. We are most grateful for all the effort that went into the preparations prior to the funeral, including listening well and acting on what we said.
There were practical matters to attend to also and anything we asked for was dealt with with speed and courtesy and discretion. We could not possibly have asked for more. Everything went well, and the allocated setting for the burial will be beautiful at any time of year, and easy to find in the beech wood where she lies. Many thanks are due.

Yvonne and Fiona at their Blackhall branch were most attentive and made making difficult decisions easy. They treated the family and particularly Moyra with total respect answering all our requests with professionalism and sympathy. The liaison with Fr. Jeremy at St. Kentigerns made for an uplifting service. Grant made the actual day pass without a hitch. The entire staff who attended the church and the cemetery were immaculate.

I would recommend to any family grieving to go and meet with Fiona at the Blackhall office, she gave us all the time we required to plan my dads funeral, she supported and guided us in the right direction and through it all kept us calm.
The planning of the funeral from the cars turning up at the door,to the finish was done with great respect and sincerity to my late dad and all his friends and family.

Thank you Porteous you gave me and my family great comfort and helped us get through a very difficult time.

Mark, Yvonne and their amazing team could not have been more helpful and supportive during a very difficult time for us. They were always at the end of the phone or an email to guide us throughout the funeral preparations for our dear Dad and were always happy to meet us in person to go over details. Nothing was too much trouble and they dealt with us with such compassion and a very human touch. We will forever be grateful to them for the care them showed to us and the dignity and respect they afforded our Dad. I cannot speak highly enough of them.
