The funeral staff on the day of the funeral were also very professional and respectful.

Fiona was absolutely outstanding in the way she dealt with us throughout this distressing time. She kept in constant contact to make sure we were ok with all the arrangements and with a call the night before and on the morning of the funeral I believe went above and beyond.
Now for the not so good bit. Having spoken to many people from the area the wait to bury a loved one has certainly increased since the decision to remove local cars and pool them elsewhere. This decision no doubt was made to save money but surely not to the detriment of the service you provide?? Making an 80 yr old women wait nearly 5 weeks to bury her husband and get some sort of closure is in my opinion shocking, I know for a fact that the council had dates before that as I work for them so it basically came down to your strung out resources. Maybe decisions to save money should  be  reviewed a little better in future .

There was one error with the booking of the celebrant by the funeral director. Wrong time was made and the celebrant was unable to get to the venue at no notice. She appeared as a no show, when in fact the director could have checked to ensure attendance in advance. The funeral director had to step in to deliver the commemorative script.
There was an initial delay to proceedings and the coffin was outside and the first music track looped several times.
Avoidable really.

The service from Morag and the team at Prestonpans was exceptional. Morag herself went above and beyond giving the best personal care to my husband Peter and being there even in her own time to help me in my darkest moments. 
The compassion within the team was the best I could have hoped for. The ceremony itself and Morag work on Peters Casket made the celebration of his life the most incredible experience imaginable.

Dealing with the funeral arrangements for my mother was of course difficult and emotional. The help and support from the whole team at the Co-op in Prestonpans was exceptional and made that experience as easy it could possibly be.
Morag in the office then Emma the Funeral Director on the day could not have done more and went “above and beyond” time and time again. The drivers too were faultless and so respectful.
I, and the rest of the family, really appreciated the professional yet friendly service from the whole team.
