H J Newington Funeral Directors are independent funeral directors based in Brighton and Hove.

H J Newington is a new company that has been set up on the basis of choice, transparency, passion and experience. Their team of professional staff are on hand to ensure each family is provided with a personalised and caring service.

Pricing is always transparent and their team takes great pride in providing tailor made services that suit everyone’s needs.

Customers can choose from a range of coffins to suit their requirements. Coffins range from traditional veneer to solid wood, wicker coffins to wool coffins, metal American caskets to solid wood American caskets.

A large selection of alternative vehicles is also available, from horse-drawn carriages, old London busses, white hearses, Only Fools and Horses hearses and motorcycle funerals. As long as it’s available, H J Newington will provide any vehicle at their client’s request.

Opening hours are from 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday. Saturday and Sunday by appointment only. H J Newington are available 24 hours a day for telephone support and advice.

The location of their premises is set on an established parade of shops. If you want to view your loved one before the funeral service, viewing is available in their private chapel.
