We were having a simple cremation without a funeral, even so this was handled with sensitivity and efficiency. Our funeral director judged the situation brilliantly, she has a lovely way of being sympathetic without being over the top. In a sad situation are dealing with her always left us feeling that our friend, despite his simple wishes, was in good hands

I recently had to arrange the funeral of my dear elderly mother, and had the wonderful help of Amy and Sarah at the Woodingdean branch of Co-op Funeral Care. As a family, we received an excellent service! I was kindly and carefully guided with very compassionate advice about how to arrange a funeral service that was fitting for my dear Mum, and appropriate for our needs as a family. Amy and Sarah have both exceeded my expectations, and were both extremely kind, caring, helpful, compassionate and sympathetic. I will never, ever forget the kindness we have received, and their wonderful expertise in guiding us so gently and beautifully. Thank you so much Amy and Sarah. You are truly lovely, caring people, and I appreciate all your help and kind support so much. Four years ago, I also very sadly lost my elderly Dad, too. As a family, we also used Woodingdean Co-op Funeral Care, too, and received an excellent service then, too. Thank you so much Co-op Funeral Care (Woodingdean), and thank you so much Amy and Sarah. From the very first telephone call to Amy at Woodingdean Co-op Funeral Care, the service and help provided could not possibly have been any better. Dealing with everything by telephone from 150 miles away was an initially daunting prospect but Amy made it simple. She provided all the necessary information in order to register the death and all the different options and costs for the funeral were very clearly explained. Once agreed, Amy was able to help secure a date/time for the cremation that suited, organise an exceptional celebrant to take the service, provide recommendations for florists and wake locations, set up a web-based tribute page for donations, messages, photos, etc. and giving full details and maps of the funeral and wake locations. There was excellent communication from Amy at all stages and on the day before the cremation, detailed arrangements were provided for the way in which the day would unfold. On the actual day of the funeral, the funeral director and his assistants were professional and unobtrusive. If I could give a rating of more than 5 stars I would as I truly believe that the overall service provided was beyond exceptional.
