From start to finish, Cara and the staff at Arka were amazing. We had a rough idea of what we wanted and Cara was able to advise and make suggestions that would fit in perfectly with the celebration that my sister would have wanted for her funeral. Nothing was too much trouble and the caring and sensitive way in which we were treated was really appreciated, especially with the initial contact and transport from the Hospice. A beautiful handmade wool cocoon shroud was used to pick up my sister, and then she stayed with Arka until the funeral. We were able to visit her at anytime, and she was looked after in the most caring way. My sister wanted a natural burial which was something new to us, and we couldn't have been more pleased with the day. Cara advised us about which celebrant would be most suited for our ceremony, who turned out to be another lovely person, and we felt so comforted by her words. A beautiful ceremony in the local chapel with lots of children, who sat and drew pictures that would be included with the coffin. The coffin was a natural cream wool casket, handmade and draped with informal fresh flowers. Arka organised photographs to be discreetly taken of the day, so that we would have memories for everyone to share. We have had so many people remark to us that this Arka funeral has completely changed the way they think a funeral should be and that they will be making their own arrangements along similar lines in the future. I cannot thank Arka enough for helping us plan and organise such a special day for my sister. It was beautiful.

I was overwhelmed by the courtesy and kindness i received from the ladies at Arka. The funeral arrangements ran like clockwork and the memorial service was everything i could have hoped for. I am so very glad that i chose Arka Original Funerals. It goes without saying that i would definitely recommend them to others.
