At a time of great distress the service and care we received from Garton's, and in particular Eric, was excellent.
This was the fourth family funeral (both mine and my husbands parents) Garton's have handled for us, they have been excellent every time.
Due to family members living overseas we asked Garton's to expediate the funeral as quickly as possible, this they managed very quickly working along with Hull Royal Infirmary.
If you are looking for a family friendly funeral service look no further than Garton's. I would highly recommend them.

My mother's funeral went off without a hitch. There was good communication with Garton's beforehand which I much appreciated and the comments I had from family and friends afterwards was all very positive.

My mother-in-law bless her had already pre-paid some years ago and set out her requirements, this made the funeral arrangements less onerous. That said, Lee and his team were very supportive, taking the family through the process step by step, helping us with the Service provider and the Order of Service sheets.
They provided us with cones to ensure that space for the funeral cars was made available in front of the house, with minimum disruption.
On the day of the funeral they were very professional and respectful toward all family members, young and old alike, before, during and after the Service.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Garton's to anyone, in the assurance they would be in safe hands.

Lee has been great and very professional when arranging direct cremation services. You can tell that it's a trusted, family run business that has wealth of experience and I was very pleased that M Garton & Son took such a great care when fulfilling our request from start to finish. Not only they were outstanding, they are also the cheapest provider in Hull.

I would highly recommend M Gartons & Sons for Funeral Directors for number of reasons, first is the sympathy and professional advice from beginning to the end in the most difficult time in arranging the funeral, for my Dad, I had never arranged a funeral before but they made this easy to do, all staff I dealt mainly with Lee, but also Eric and Fergus were extremely friendly and gave me endless support needed, any question you had they would advice anytime you needed, and helpful hints and it was not about pushing additional services unnecessarily or costs, they use a Graham’s Florist who were very very reasonable prices and the flowers were beautiful. I would have to say that Lee were absolute gem, takes a very special person to do that job and he is one of them an absolute diamond and truly grateful to M Gartons & Sons and the words A very big thank you seem so little to all that they did for me and my family for a lovely send off my Dad.

Their true professionalism, understanding and most of all Calm & Caring nature of support that They showed throughout to My Whole Family will NEVER be forgotten.
I can't "Thank" them enough for ALL what They did at our time of need and would give Them a rating of 11 out of 10.

Upon the recent bereavement of my wonderful mother, I had feared the task, arrangement and organisation of the funeral and all that it would entail.

I had been recommended from a family member that I would be in safe and expert hands with M. Garton and sons.

I can say without hesitation that the support, guidance and compassion that we have received has no doubt made the whole process so much more bearable.

Glad to say that with your help, we were able to give my mother the wonderful send off that she so deserved and I can only say thank you for ensuring, certainly on my part, flawless support.

Gartons looked after my dad three years ago and recently my mum. They were brilliant, not an easy time for anyone but they were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. I was never rushed into making any decisions and would highly recommend them.

We have used Garton’s services a number of times over the years. I can honestly say we wouldn’t use anyone else. 

 There services are so personal and they make sure ever last detail is perfect. The team are on hand for any questions and I honestly can’t recommend them enough.

 Our recent experience exceeded all expectations, we had some difficult circumstances. Lee talked us though the process and explained all eventualities to us, this helped us plan and set our expectations. Lee and the team managed to turn around some very tight timeframes to enable us to see our family member in the chapel of rest. 

 I’m sure everyone will agree this is a service that nobody wishes to use, however Gartons always take away the stress and worry. Don’t bother going elsewhere, use the best Garton's.

We have used M. Garton and Son for seven family funerals over the past 40 years and nothing has changed. It is still a family run business who show such compassion, dedication, care, kindness and, above all, great professionalism which is second to none along with an amazing, personal service. We would never, ever use any other funeral directors. We just can`t imagine any other funeral directors topping them! They treat your loved one as their own. This is a fact. We just can`t recommend them highly enough. They show such commitment to you. We can guarantee that you will be in their extremely capable hands from beginning to end.......nothing is too much trouble. We really can`t stress this enough. Thank you Gartons - you really are the best!
