Everything was meticulously organised and despite the sad nature of the occasion the family felt we gave my uncle the best possible send off. I cannot recommend Nicholas O'Hara Funeral Directors enough for easing us through the day with the minimum of fuss. Well done.

This has been the most difficult time in my life ever. Losing a child is a heart  wrenching thing a parent goes through, Nicholas O’Hara made this the most loving and joyful experience. Not one thing was too much trouble, the really cared about our family and took our every idea and enhanced it to the full. The love that was felt in the church was a real celebration of his fun filled life. We will never forget how kind they were and even after the funeral contacting us to make sure we are okay .

O'Hara's were quite simply the best. Right from the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed, comforted and incredibly well looked after. Anthony was amazing (as was everyone there) - nothing was too much trouble and everything was superbly organised. I cannot sing their praises highly enough. Knowing that they had everything under control made a huge difference at what was a very sad and difficult time. My sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone there.

Their professional and calm manner guided us through the preparations, was most reassuring on the day and helped us to give mum a befitting send-off.   O’Hara Funeral Directors were recommended to us and that recommendation was very well deserved.

Nicolas O'Hara went over and beyond in the service and support that they gave us as a family during this very difficult time. Phillip was a great support and the day went really well. I cannot recommend Nicolas O'Hara's enough if you find yourself in the devastating place where you need to make funeral arrangements for a loved one. VERY professional yet personal too.

We really couldn’t have asked for a more professional and caring service than that which we received from everbody we came into contact with at Nicholas O’Hara. From our very first meeting with Chris to discuss what we’d like to do for Dad’s service, right through to picking up his ashes a couple of days later, we were treated with genuine kindness and care; nothing was too much trouble and the service that they/we put together for Dad went beautifully thanks to the efficiency and professionalism of all of the team at Nicholas O’Hara. Thank you all so much again for all you did for us at such a difficult time and also for the lovely little memory cards that you gave to us at the end of the service. We highly, highly, highly recommend this company; you will be in very safe and caring hands during what is obviously a very difficult time.

It was an emotional day.

Hard to balance all the feelings of loosing a loved one , but although deeply sad at our families loss , the celebration of my mothers life was judged so well , we all left uplifted.

I felt so pleased with my mothers special day organised by all at O'Hara.


There were several unrequested comments that left me feeling that we had done the right thing,'' That was the nicest  I've ever been to '' !!

The weather on the day was dreadful but they still carried on regardless as one would expect from a company of their standing.

Extremely professional service. No question or request too much trouble. Thoroughly explained procedure and treated us with utmost respect. Little touches such as a particular picture chosen for coffin lid, based on information learnt on first family meeting, as well as ‘keepsake cards’ for members of family as a remembrance of loved one.

No question was unanswered, they kept in touch every step of the way and provided an excellent service.

Our main contact, Chris Johnson, handled everything superbly and the other members of the team that we dealt with, when Chris was unavailable, dealt with us efficiently and with compassion.

It was just over a year ago we used Nicolas O Hara's for our dad. They handled the loss of our Mum with much sympathy and kindness. Organisation was wonderful, and Chris Antell managed to capture the spirit and personality of mum perfectly during the service. They are such a lovely team of people and so easy to deal with, making this sad time for us all much easier. We did not have a lot of time or organise everything, but the team were amazing, really really helpful.
