Working with an excellent secular celebrant they recommended, Wakely organised a simple, affecting funeral service at a crematorium. Every element was efficiently managed and dignified. We appreciated the choice of a locally made wicker casket. The overall cost was very reasonable.

I recently had the profound misfortune of losing my beloved mum on Mother's Day at our family home. The grief and confusion that followed were overwhelming, but AJ Wakely & Sons, and specifically Simon, provided us with the support and care we desperately needed during this difficult time.

I was very impressed with the gentle care that was taken with my wife Jennie. She was treated with great dignity and I found that very moving.

Wakeley’s provided an excellent all round service. They coordinated the collection of the deceased from another county, organised the service with Higher ground meadow and Alicen ( the celebrant), and sorted out the music and the printing of the service sheets. They suggested great options for the venue and caterer for the wake. At all times I felt that everything was under control, which was especially important as we were arranging everything from 100 miles away.
