From our  first phone call until the last contact made, my sister and I received the most wonderful kind, compassionate care from Wendy and Gary.  There kindness and help in arranging our  Mothers funeral was exemplary.
In what is a sad, emotional and difficult  time, they both ensured all our needs were met and they both went above and beyond to help us at such an upsetting time. The process of arranging the funeral was explained at every step  and the funeral was everything we hoped for and more. We were treated , as was our dear Mum in their care,  with compassion, dignity and respect. Thank you doesn’t seem adequate enough for all they did for us. They are a wonderful credit to coop funeral care.

We cannot speak highly enough of the team at The Co-Op Funeralcare, Barton, Torquay. From our initial telephone conversation right through to the end of Dad's service the whole team were kind, friendly, professional and incredibly supportive and caring of Mum and the rest of the family.
Our sincere thanks to Gary who was with us through most of the organising and the actual service. Arranging a funeral is, obviously a pretty stressful and emotional time for a family but Gary and the team at Co-op helped us every step of the way with dignity and a genuine sense of caring.

It was a direct cremation with no funeral or service. Michael handled the deceased simple requirements in a empathetic and professional manner. Totally satisfied with the co-op staff of the Torquay branch and their process.

Funeralcare was really professional and helpful in every way. I would rate him first class.

However, i used the same branch 4 years ago and it was so much more personal. I was never hanging on the phone, never spoke to a 'central' branch and could always get through to Haley at the Torquay branch, who was absolutely amazing throughout the whole of my contact with the branch. Her availability, approachable, understanding manner, always caring for every small detail, carried me and my family through. I was never psssef around, as though i was 'just another customer'.

Sadly, you have removed that personal service that made all the difference. A traumatised, bereaved person does not need passing around to people they have never spoken to, who are efficient, but too far removed. They shouldn't be put in a position where they have to explain anything to yet another stranger.
For this reason, i would not recommend you and would not choose you again. I would seek out a small organisation with personal service. That way, stress is minimised and assurance is given at every stage. I would never want to experience your funeralcare again. That is why i have marked you as poor. It is not value for money. I was just another number who was already acutely distressed and your impersonal service added to that stress. That is extremely sad and disappointing.
