A very big thankyou to Lymns and for the support and guidance we received. We were guided through the whole process at the initial meeting. Options were discussed, without being pushy, we really could not have asked for better support throughout. The receptionist was always helpful, the staff on the day was amazing and Nothing was too much trouble for them.

In 2003, the Cotmanhay branch joined A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service. Before then, it was the headquarters of the Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Service, which opened in 1979.
Bennerley House, the beautiful building where the funeral home is located, originally belonged to a local carpenters and includes a reception area, family rooms, visitation rooms, cold room facilities and garaging for part of our fleet of Rolls-Royce hearses and limousines.
Mick Schofield is the funeral director responsible for this office and is assisted by funeral director Nikki Anderson.
The opening times are from 9 am to 5 pm from Monday to Friday, but you can call at any time on the telephone number to arrange an appointment – you will then be able to arrange a meeting at your convenience.
The branch covers all of Cotmanhay and its surrounding area, including Awsworth, Cossall, Eastwood, Heanor, Langley Mill, Loscoe, Shipley, Smalley, Stanley, West Hallam and further afield.
A W Lymn The Family Funeral Service was founded in 1907 and is now managed by Nigel, Matthew and Jackie Lymn Rose.
Michelle was excellent, she made the whole process very easy, and chosing Tracey has the celebrant for the service was a fabulous decision.

Having met your mother when she arranged the pre-paid plan it really was a pleasure to look after her when she passed, she really was a lovely lady. I’m really pleased the celebrant Tracey was a good match and that we were able to give mum the send off she deserved. It was lovely to hear you were all dancing at the end of the service to mums’ favourite song Penny Arcade, a song, when arranging the funeral, she said she loved and was adamant it to be played in her service. After losing my Husband suddenly , I myself along with every one that attended the Funeral / Cremation had only praise and appreciation for Funeral Company

Lymn" they conducted the Funeral from beginning to End with the utmost consideration and compassion, not a single person attending had any cause to complain and spoke of them with such high regards, As for myself and his Family cannot begin to thank "Mick" and all concerned for the impeccable and truly wonderful way we were treated.

From start to finish everything was perfect and to a very high standard. Nothing was too much trouble. We were supported and dealt with in a professional, friendly manner.
The deceased, was treated with dignity and respect.
Tracey, the celebrant suggested by Mick at Lymns, was excellent. Very caring and thoughtful. We felt comfortable with her from the start.

We entrusted our son Desmond into the care of your company. From the minute he left our house with Wayne and Rebecca who handled the whole situation with sensitivity and respect. We immediately felt that he would be in safe hands. I will be forever grateful to Michelle Ibbett for her kindness, empathy and understanding, we had no idea about the.process of funerals and she explained everything in detail to us, sometimes several times as we weren't taking things in and couldn't believe our beloved son had died.We were supported by her to visit him as many times as we wanted, made to feel comfortable, offered tea and a genuine listening ear. Her professionalism and organizational skills were evident on the day of his funeral. Making it a beautiful stress fee final journey.
Mick was a credit to his profession, ensuring everything ran smoothly a really lovely gentleman. Thank you all
