We used J.T.Howe Funeral Directors when my father-in-law died in November 2024. The death had occurred in North Wales where he had recently moved to and it was unexpected.
We only knew that he didn't want a 'service' and wanted to be cremated. It was also more complicated with him dying in an area where he had only just moved to. However, as soon as we contacted J.T. Howe, he provided us with advice, support and information. We all felt very reassured by his professional but caring manner.
He held our hand every step of the way from arranging to collect his body, the cremation and bring his ashes home. He called the family at each step until we knew that his ashes had arrived back in Chapel.
I would have no hesitation in recommending JT Howe Funeral Directors to anyone, as we all felt that the service he provided was personalised for what we wanted. He listened, showed kindness and helped us all deal with the funeral plans at a really difficult time for the family.

Jane’s Howe is excellent at what he does, he’s sincere and helpful. He guided us from the beginning of this very upsetting process right through to the end. He collected my dad from his nursing home and really looked after him. He contacted me each day to explain what the process would be, offered me great advice and was always at the end of the telephone any time of the day or night. I have used James’s services on 3 occasions now and would never consider using anyone else. At such an heartbreaking time I feel you need someone that you trust completely. I would highly recommend James and Emma. They even arranged to have both my parents ashes to be placed in a companion Scatter Pod. James and his beautiful, caring family business helped orchestrate the celebration of life in memory of my darling younger brother, Michael. 

I am beyond grateful for their love, care and kindness on a day I am truly sad had to happen. 

From beginning to end - their advice, helpfulness and options were open. They truly are in favour in helping the family give their loved one a beautiful send off. Nothing is too much.
Gone are the days of a standard formatted funeral, James and his team helped assist my dad and our family give my brother a thoughtful family orientated send off.

Paul specifically requested that I should ask James to take care him and his funeral when the time came . This was because he had heard how caring, genuine and committed James was. 
James and his assistant were respectful, efficient and  incredibly kind when they came to take Paul in to their care. I felt reassured as I was sure he would be safe in their hands. The whole experience was made much less traumatic because James really listened and arranged everything as I wanted . He was very down to earth and natural and really understood what we wanted and why it mattered. When I went to visit Paul prior to the service I could see that James had cared for him exactly how I would have wanted and I felt peaceful . 
On the day of the funeral James and his wife Emma ensured everything ran smoothly which helped me to cope . Family members all commented on how well everything had gone and what a perfect tribute to Paul it was . James helped everyone to feel at ease .&nbs ... p;
The death of a loved one is a terrible time and having professionals you can trust around you can make the difference between memories being painful or beautiful . Paul’s funeral was a beautiful occasion and for that I will be forever grateful .  more

My family and I cannot fault the professional and friendly service we received from James. He supported and advised us in every aspect and listened to our wishes.

The service I received in the planning and organisation of the funeral of Mr John Wilman was thoroughly professional and all of the deceased wishes were carried out to the letter.
I found James to be very approachable, knowledgeable and empathetic.
He explained the role of the coroner who became involved following the death and liaised with the hospital mortuary to allow the body to be released after the legal processes were completed.
James organised the funeral itself which involved the service at the crematorium and the provision of the hearse and pallbearers.
I have no hesitation in recommending J T Howe Funeral Directors who provided an excellent service throughout from my initial conversation following John's death to the conclusion of the funeral service.

We did not want the 'commercial' style of funeral where the same format is relied upon for everyone. We wanted a woodland burial, no religious or civil celebrant who was a stranger reading out the facts of my beloved daughter's life. We wanted our personal recollections read at the grave by ourselves, and her favourite music of Pink Floyd and Hendrix which James managed to play in the woodland on speakers from his phone. James was thougthful and considerate from the begining and afterwards and helped to make it a very special farewell. Sheila for Lauren.

As I don’t live in the area my brother’s nursing home recommended J T Howe. Thank goodness they did. From my first confused phone call James was helpful, considerate and calm. He met us out of hours and walked me through my first time arranging a funeral.

When my sisters passed away I had a drive around the local funeral directors to find the rite place for my sister. J.T.Howe was the only place from the outside that actually looked like a funeral directors. As soon as I walked through his door James put me at ease & I new I had made the rite choice.
