I wholeheartedly commend A.W. Lymn of Spondon for their organisation and their respect during a very difficult time for my family throughout the preparations for the funeral of our son. In particular I would like to thank Kevin and his team for their thoughtfulness, sincerity and absolute attention to detail both before and during the funeral at which they accommodated 220 mourners at Risley Church.

Also many thanks to Julie, funeral director on the day of Mum's funeral. The staff at Lymns helped us all give Mum a lovely send off, she would have appreciated all the hard work and care.

A very caring company, understanding the wishes of the family without over explanation at a very sensitive time. The whole funeral service put together which included celebrant Sally Ward has been commented on by a number of the mourners as being one of the most light funerals they had been to. A true celebration of Dads life. . . Which is what he would want.
Excellent service from A W Lymn (Spondon) .
Formerly an Ilkeston Co-op Funeral Service branch, this home was incorporated by the A W Lymn group in 2003, and then moved next door to a refurbished premises in 2009 and given the title Barton House.
The premises offer a large reception area, two visiting rooms, a private arranging office and there is off-street parking available.
Kevin Hall is the area manager and the office is run by funeral director Fiona Hall.
The office opening times are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, but an appointment can be scheduled by calling at any time day or night, seven days a week.
The branch covers all of Spondon and its surrounding area including Alvaston, Borrowash, Chaddesden, Draycott, Elvaston, Oakwood, Ockbrook, Risley and beyond.
A W Lymn is a family owned business since its establishment in 1907 and is currently owned by Jackie, Matthew and Nigel Lymn Rose.

From our initial enquiry through to the end of the funeral, everything was faultless. The staff were perfectly professional yet very friendly and helpful. We have used Lymn's service before and had no hesitation in choosing to use them again.

Sadly I have used Lymns funeral directors twice in the last 18months on both occasions Fiona Hall has been excellent, efficient compassionate and respectable she is a lovely credible person. A person whom I can rely on to meet all of my wishes. I have no hesitation in recommending Lymns as a thoroughly professional company from start to finish.

A fantastic send off for our mum. Fiona has been amazing from start to finish. She has been so kind and compassionate and even helped us out at weekends as we live so far away. The team were really helpful as well as showing great compassion. The planning of the funeral undertaken with a real understanding of what we as a family needed. The funeral itself then went ahead without any "glitches" and gave much comfort at a very sad time.
