Located at Wentworth House, A.W. Lymn's Osmaston Park branch opened in March 2010. Funeral Arranger Kaitlan Thompson is in charge of the office and is overseen by Kevin Hall, the Derby Senior Funeral Director. Mark Chapman, an A.W. Lymn Funeral Celebrant is also based here.
The premises offer one small car park, a reception area, visitation room, family room, and cold room facilities. There is also the possibility to accommodate ritual washing if requested.
Kaitlan is available to see clients from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday, or at any other time by appointment – A.W. Lymn's telephone number operates 24 hours a day.
The branch covers all of Osmaston Park and its surrounding area, including Alvaston, Chaddesden, Findern, Normanton, Sinfin and beyond.
Nigel Lymn Rose, former president of the National Association of Funeral Directors’ manages A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service, along with his sister Jackie and his son Matthew.

I cannot fault the services received from A W Lymn. From the first day I walked in, a broken person, I was guided through the whole process from start to finish, I felt that my beloved was treated with utmost care and dignity, and for that I am super grateful.. Losing your loved.ones, is never easy, but the staff at.Lynn's ( especially Kaitlan) helped me tremendously, even after the funeral, the care continues, giving me a call to see how I was. In fact I am now looking at arranging my own with them. Thank you.

An Excellent professional and caring service throughout,from planning with Kaitlan to our Mothers funeral and Interment of ashes a few weeks later.
Communication throughout every step of the way. The cars were spotless the drivers and coffin bearers were fabulous and not forgetting the Top Hat and Cane man. We all felt so looked after.
Our beloved Mum had the most beautiful send off which she had planned and truly deserved. Thank you A.W. Lymn

The funeral was for my mum who passed away just after Christmas, and AW Lymn on Osmaston Park couldn’t have been more helpful. Mark went above and beyond to help me and my family during this awful time, even giving me advice on elements unrelated to the funeral directly, pointing me in the right direction for a number of things. He was kind, understanding and extremely patient.
The service itself was beautiful, the celebrant was requested by myself as she carried out my Gran’s funeral a few years before: Andrea Garlick. She was well spoken, compassionate and made the whole thing flow very smoothly.
I highly recommend this company to anyone who has lost a loved one, and would use them again.

I could not fault any part of the funeral arrangements. Despite the fact that I created a problem myself this was dealt with very professionally and a different path was highlighted. Nothing was too much trouble and the whole process felt very personal. Every staff member I came into contact with was very polite and those who attended the removal and funeral treated my loved one with reverence. The funeral itself went without a hitch and the attendees all had high praise for the smooth operation where everyone knew what their role was and carried it out with precision.
